i think it’s funny when ppl at work give me the occasional drive by abt how lucky i am to have my new position (it has objectively made my life worse, i am clinging to my mental health through hardcore escapism the likes of which I haven’t used since COVID). lowkey I don’t see enough ppl talking abt the possibility of agott choosing to reject following in her family’s footsteps when the time comes. we haven’t gotten much lore yet about what being a librarian actually entails but her family isn’t… great. So while her whole goal may be to pursue this career to prove to others (and herself) that she can achieve it, I think it’d be an interesting character choice for her to decide on a different route.

going crazy over how part of qifrey’s longcon includes being consistently misunderstood by those around him at the most base level. olruggio and beldaruit, the adults who have known him longest, both see him as someone with a tendency to ruminate on the past to the point of self destruction. but given literally one single opportunity qifrey would choose his quiet future every time. he wants simplicity and that’s why he can’t have it. I’m going to be ill.

just took sick time (my limited hours to do with what I please) for a mental health day (a real form of illness for which I’ve had a diagnosis since I was in my teens) and the whole time I was coaching myself like ok here’s how we will lie (this is an objectively good decision for my workflow as my poor mental state manifests through increased migraine days, which kill my productivity and quality of life). i am now convinced i will be struck down by a “real illness” as some form of divine punishment.

really excited abt qifrey as disability representation in wha. obviously i understand it’s intrinsic to the plot that he not lose his vision yet since it’s one of his driving motivations but i love the idea that part of what keeps this whole story moving is a man coming to terms with his diagnosis… in a roundabout fashion. i really hope we get to see him living life after he loses his sight too.

genuinely tho i understand that im supposed to read qifrey as morally complex but if someone put a chronic pain curse on me id also resort to violence against them
