I put on an all-ages punk show in Dawson, Yukon with the help of some pals. I think it was a first for this small town. It was a fundraiser for a summer rock n roll camp for girls. There are no punk bands here so for the last three weeks people got together, learned how to play instruments, formed bands, and got onstage. Here are the “photo booth” photos I took. I made a poster for an upcoming show in April, the Lemon Bucket Orkestra (15-ish piece balkan folk swing flail punk orchestra) at the Oddfellows Ballroom here in Dawson City, Yukon, Canada, next month. My job pretty much kicks ass, so sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while, I’ve been busy!

In this tangly web of of a town where everyone wears different hats all at once, I helped host a show (part of my kick ass job) for Christine Fellows, which was opened by my partner Cud, which I then photographed and helped write an article for the local newspaper. I love this town (sometimes).

This morning I went out for breakfast with Christine Fellows, Shary Boyle, and some other folks and then sent off a grant for a lot money for a sweet work project, and am spending the night silkscreening and doing Oakheart Stuff. I found out that I'm getting featured in a newspaper in England and that my submission for the 2015 NSCAD Free Coffee Publication was accepted.  I'd like to think I have my life somewhat together even though the bills are overdue and I cried about boys stupid crap until four in the morning.

Dawson is such a silly gem. It's a living ghost town. A fully alive and vibrant klondike gold-rush era ghost town. In the summer I will miss the winter. [ Dawson City, Yukon / devon ]
