The breakup scene was so frustrating and hard to watch, and I'm one of those who actually don't give a damn about relationships and cringey stuff like that.

It was just so hurtful to watch someone with anxiety disorder losing another valuable thing (or someone in this case) due to their mental illness.

The ironic thing is that Arnold actually feared this end and was afraid of his own reaction and the damage this relationship will cause in which he says to Josh "I'm afraid to be vulnerable for you" but as the connection between them was growing, this fear drifted away. But in the end, he was right, and eventually he was crushed..

I understand how hard it can be to build a healthy relationship with a mentally ill person. Anxiety in particular brings nothing but desolation and suffering for both individuals in the relationship.

It was just hard to witness that such people are doomed to be alone and never find love.

It wasn't like i was hopeful to begin with, it's just i didn't appreciate the reminder. I only wanted a witty show to watch while exercising on my treadmill, not a sudden hit of reality I've chose to accept and forget about.
