Domestic Machi Headcanons

For Machi, the first thing she likes to do is to come home and take a long hot bath and shower. Normally she wouldnโt mind if her s/o came up to join her, but itโs in these moments where she likes her solitude. Just enjoying the calm of finally being able to be home and being able to wash up in her own bathroom
Machi does need her times in quiet peace alone. It helps ease the tension that she feels and clears her mind of distractions.
However when sheโs ready, sheโll seek out her s/o for company. Sometimes it will be in discreet ways like sitting across the table from them while they are reading a book. Or if she wants more direct contact and attention sheโll come up behind them while theyโre cooking in the kitchen, wrapping her arms around them and leaning her head into their shoulder. Or she might pull you to lie on top of her while watching a movie on the couch.
Machi is always the big spoon. Always.
Machiโs doesnโt realize it but she has a very tight grip in her sleep. Like if you need to get up to get a drink or need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, youโll actually have to wake her up first. Usually sheโs pretty good about getting up and releasing you.
If you point this out to her during waking hours, sheโll coldly deny it. But if youโre quick enough, you might catch the faint pink on her ears.
Not a health nut in a obsessive way, but takes good care in making sure youโre taking care of your health. Whether itโs making sure youโre getting enough sleep or eating the foods you need to eat. She might seem rather gruff about it, but itโs her way of showing she cares for you. During her life in Meteor City, she watched so many die due to malnutrition or other health issues that could have been so easily taken care of in more ideal living conditions. And as long as sheโs around, sheโll definitely make sure your needs are taken care of
She fully enjoys it when you come into the bathroom with her and offer to scrub her down. Loves feeling the sensation of your fingers through the cloth as your gently wash her back down. Sometimes things may begin to heat up from there which may require you two to have a round two of washing upโฆ
Domestic life overall with Machi is quite relaxing. Thereโs so much intensity that goes on during Troupe jobs that all Machi wants to do for a brief moment is to relax at home with her beautiful s/o. She knows itโs temporary, and that eventually she will get that call, letting her know that the next heist has begun turning. Thatโs why she never discusses her job with her s/o at home - even if somehow they know what she actually does. She just rather not think about it during a time where sheโs supposed to be off the clock.
With Machi overalls sheโs pretty handy around the house, and thereโs not too many things she canโt do. But you and her both find something a bit out of your field, she might call one of the Troupe members and ask their advice on something. She might call Shalnark if youโre having issues on your laptop, or might text Paku an inquiry about what supplies would be best for cleaning a gun. You might not be familiar with their faces, but you eventually grow familiar with the names (the only one she doesnโt mention to you is Chrollo. Though occasionally he will ask how you two are doing because of course this guy knows)
