Gryffendor is not doing well. The kidney disease has escalated. She still has an appetite, but she doesn’t want to get on the bed and snuggle with my. HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY, Gryffendor 🥳 🐱🎂🎊🎉🎈🎁 ♥️🥳 She went to the vets office today. Of course, given that she is 19 she did not get a totally clean bill of health. Last year she was diagnosed with early stages of renal failure, which we have treated with diet and subcutaneous fluids. Today’s bloodwork didn’t show any improvement on her kidneys, but she has not gotten any worse, either, at least according to her blood work 🩸, but she has been having a difficult time keeping on the weight, and she is now showing signs of anemia. We are going to start her on a supplement for treatment; hopefully, that will do the job, if not we will have to opt for medication 💊. Okay, so this is Hunny B. We just acquired from relatives who saved her from going to a kill shelter. My family worked with her as they could, we’re taking her to the next level. She seems to do pretty good with cats, not so great with big dogs. We still have to get her spayed with her first shots and microchipped. She’s a sweet girl. She loves her crate; you should see her run to it 😅. Anyway, it’s likely we will not be able to keep her once we get her set up, so we are trying to get her to a point where she can go to a home where she should probably be the only pet, definitely the only dog.
