Shahrazad al-Khalij
Haven't showed my face on here in a while. Today I got glasses. Turns out I'm super blind and unaware. Also life is insane and I'm finally starting to look my age. Which is awesome cus I always felt like a baby.

I wanted “peace”, to be left alone in my…world. Real life oppressed me with its novelty so much that I could hardly breathe.

Cha-cha-changes...
I took a leap of faith. I married my best friend. The one person who knows my soul, trauma, fears, and dreams better than I know my own. I became a wife. With that came the responsibility of becoming a step-mom wrapped in an adorable pint sized little package. Both things I never imagined would happen. A new level of responsibility intertwined with a new found sense of trust. I am content. I am loved. Most Importantly I now love in its purest form; selflessly.
This year has been kind to me.
You can erase someone from your mind. Getting them out of your heart is another story.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2014), Dir. Michel Gondry (via wordsnquotes)
a girl is told she is nothing. she hums into the soft dark - just wait, till i come back & eat you bare. till your heart cries blue. till your bones are fear
Scherezade Siobhan, log #1 (Published in The Undertow Review)
Some changes happen deep down inside of you. And the truth is, only you know about them. Maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be.
Judy Blume, Tiger Eyes (via wordsnquotes)
I don’t want your love unless you know I am repulsive, and love me even as you know it.
Georges Bataille, My Mother (via wordsnquotes)

…and I feel haunted by a terrifying melancholy which I struggle wildly to kill—and I can’t. I feel waylaid by madness…

I’ve never done anything but dream. This, and this alone, has been the meaning of my life. My only real concern has been my inner life.
Fernando Pessoa, The Book of Disquiet (via wordsnquotes)
