My (in)sanity remains between the pages

A young woman in a flame lit room, her hands burning blue, the walls scorched anew,

thus once again, like she does with all good things, she’s ruined this too,

No matter whether she was fourteen or two, the young woman was not honest, not true,

She lies, always lies.

A ruined child, a broken soul,

This woman, no matter how strong, will end as she began,

And that confuses people, but I think it makes perfect sense.

However does one expect me to shut off my thoughts whilst sleeping?

I saw the white rabbit and followed him quick,

down to a world many thought was a trick.

But I know it’s real, every bit,

the hatter, the Queen, the cat, all of it.

I fall
