Mom of four. My username is in honor of my daughter, Laurel, who passed away in 2014. Lolabelle was our nickname for her. It's her fault I'm hooked on the Sims games. :) Come visit me at TSR: www.thesimsresource.com/members/LolabelleSims. I am Laurellabellabean on Nexus Mods
Very nice. Am planning to replace my avatar with something non-silly and have been looking at skin files. FOUND A GOOD ONE. I looked at the textures. They are very nice. Good job, ddarkstonee! Skin is hard to get right.

Tutorial For Adding Colour Slider To CC Hair. Clothes, Shoes
This is a tutorial on how to add a colour slider for cc hair, clothes, shoes etc. Links to resources are highlighted in bold within the steps for you. The tutorial can also be found publicly on my patreon for easier viewing here :)
Step one: download thepancake1 and MixoreYukii’s UI colour slider - (link is at the bottom of their post), for this you only need the UI, you do not need all of the downloads that add the slider to the sims 4 maxis hairs and clothes.
Step two: download an up-to-date version of the sims4studio (pick windows or mac version)
Step three: create a folder somewhere called ‘batch exports’ (the name honestly isn’t important, just something you will remember, can put the folder anywhere)
Step four: open up the cc package you want to add the colour slider to via sims4studio, for this tutorial I am using oma-simmer’s Panda hair.
Step five: go into 'warehouse’ in the cc package.
Step six: select tools, modding, convert RLE2 to LRLE
Step seven: once sims4studio is finished converting the files, select done and then highlight all of the new LRLE files and select 'batch export’, export these files to the folder I asked you to create earlier.
Step eight: at this point you should not have saved the cc file, exit the file leaving it unchanged and getting rid of the RLE2 to LRLE conversions you made.
Step nine: Re-open the cc package in it’s original state, go back into warehouse and select 'batch import’, import all of the LRLE files that you exported into your 'batch exports’ folder.
After importing these LRLE files you should now have the original RLE2 files and the new LRLE files both inside the cc package. Now click save.
In game you should now have a colour slider for this cc hair.
Here are links to videos of me using the new slider in-game for this cc hair, some cc clothes and shoes.
I really hope this tutorial made sense, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask! Of course the major credit has to go to thepancake1 and MizoreYukii for managing to use the slider tool and apply it to hair, clothes etc! This is a really cool improvement for the sims game :)
I whipped up this texture-space template P.N.G and figured I'd toss it out here in case any other sims 4 CC-creators would find it useful.
And yes, I know there are similar ones floating around, but I haven’t seen one that includes the new-ish moved nail space -- plus, I just like the white UV. (UV is Fem-YA)
Haiii! As promised, here is the tutorial to make it so your custom shoes no longer require a shoe slider!
Thank you to the bestie who took the time to pick through Madlen's package file to figure out how it worked. And of course, thank you to Madlen who did the majority of the work figuring out how to make this possible in the first place!
♥ Tut below cut ♥

Set Up Your Blend File:
We're going to add a plane that will act as the mesh for the SlotRay which will allow for you to adjust the height of your shoes!
Open your blend file that contains the shoes your wish to adjust.
In the 3D View, press Shift + S and in the menu, select “Cursor to Center” In the 3D View, press Shift + A and in the menu, hover over “Mesh” then add a plane.
Now size this plane down as small as you can get it. You don’t want this plane visible in game.
Double check to make sure the plane has not moved from the center!! Your sim won't be centered in game if it has! If you see that it's moved:
Press "Shift + S" and click "Cursor to Center".
Then Select your plane and press "Ctrl + Shift + Alt + C", click "Origin to 3D Cursor".
Press "Ctrl + Shift + Alt + C" again and click "Geometry to Origin".
Navigate to the “Object data” tab and under “UV Maps” add a new one then name it “uv_0”.
Next, navigate to the “Scene” tab and under “S4Studio CAS Tools” set the cut number.
Depending on how many cuts your shoes have, you’ll want to adjust this number. For example, if your shoe has 3 cuts (0000, 0001, 0002) then this plane would have a cut number of 0003.
Since my boots only have one cut, I will put the number as 0001.
Now select your shoes and enter Edit mode. Select a face/vertice/edge on the very bottom of your shoes. Look to the panel on the left side of the screen (if it’s not open, press “N”). Under “Transform”, note down the number next to “Z”
After that, save your blend file under another name so you can distinguish which is which. I’ll name mine “Boots_3_Height Cut”
~~~
Add a New Cut to your Package File:
We're going to add an additional cut in your package file for the new plane!
Open Sims 4 Studio, make a new package file for your shoes and import them.
Go to the Warehouse tab and select your LOD 0, it will be the geometry with the largest file size. Sometimes you have to close then reopen the package to see the geometry.
Duplicate this geometry and in the box that pops up, change the last character of the “Group”. It can be any number or letter as long as it’s not the same as the duplicated geometry. On the duplicated geometry, note down the Group, Instance & Type values.
Find the “Region Map” and next to “Entries” click “Edit Items”. Add a new entry and in the “Layer” box, type the number you used for your cut. Since I used the cut number 0001, I will type 1.
Keep the “Region Type” as “Base” and move to “Models” then click “Edit Items”. Add a new Model entry and paste the Group, Instance & Type values you noted down before. Save and close each box.
Find your “CAS Part”, this is your swatch.
If you have additional swatches, it is a good idea to remove them and add them back once you are finished with this process.
Scroll down until you find the “Lods”.
Click “Level: 0” and next to "LOD Models", click “Edit Items”. Add a new entry and paste the Group, Instance & Type values again.
Save & close each window and return to the Warehouse.
~~~
Adjusting SlotRays:
We are now going to edit the SlotRays for the new cut which will adjust the height of the sim for your shoes!
Return to the new duplicated Geometry and in the “Data” tab, find the “SlotRay Intersections” and click “Edit Items”. Add a new entry and find the “OffsetFromIntersectionsOs” box.
You'll want to change ONLY the middle coordinate number. That will be the height of the sim.
You want to take the “Z” coordinate that you noted down from blender and replace middle coordinate number. If the number you wrote down is negative (i.e -0.01234) make it positive (i.e 0.01234).
In the “SlotHash” box, change the value from “00000000” to “FEAE6981”. This is the hash for the b__ROOT__ bone in the Sim's Rig.
Save and close the dialogs then return to the warehouse. Next, reimport your mesh and save your package file. You can now test your shoes in game!
Please keep in mind:
You have to do this for every LOD of your mesh
You can freely replace the mesh of your shoes and adjust the height since the cut with the plane has the SlotRay data
Animations may be off since EA hasn't made the game to support taller sims
CAS windows may move slightly if your sim is using poses/animations where they are leaning to the side. This won't affect gameplay
I recommend using Helgatisha's Stand Still in CAS mod to make sure your sim is absolutely centered

I made two versions. One file is the dress without the graphic on the front. It has 12 swatches. The other file has swatches with no graphic and swatches with the graphic. 30 swatches in total.
I need to add a better screenshot but wanted to get it uploaded by Christmas. DONE. Lol. This is a decor item, a lamp, or a stereo. You choose and happy simming!
All the files are in the download. Ignore the awful screenshot. I'll fix it. Eventually.
Update. The new screenshots aren't much better. I tried. Anyway, I noticed the lamp needed to be adjusted so I'm uploading a new link.
If you don't like this don't tell me. It took weeks! Weeks! Weeks, I tell you! I won't bore you with details but it was just one thing after another. AcanthusSims made the originals for TS4. Jooj45 then converted them for TS3. And then, of course, I converted them for The Sims Medieval. Enjoy. More is to come, but no promises on timing.
Regarding the pearl jewelry: accessories have to be put in the makeup category as TSM has no accessories category. Choose one file; they are labeled accordingly. To recolor the accessories while in CAS go into the recolor menu for clothing and while you're still in the menu click the accessories. I made everything with solid colors because TSM has pattern issues. If you want to use a custom pattern you have to save your pattern as a favorite first (in live mode) and then it will show up in the recolor menu. I know. It's dumb.
More conversions to Sims Medieval! This time, it's TS3 Movies items. Not all. Some didn't fit the medieval theme AT ALL. Those I skipped. I had trouble with transparency with hair/hat combos, which is why the Western Feather hair is not present and why the Horror Bride veil is not transparent. I just couldn't get the transparency to display properly in TSM. The hairs have been retextured with Pooklet's texture. Oh, and I combined TS3's Simple Bun hair with the Valkyrie hat and with the Super Sailor crown. The Super Sailor hair was 1) hideous, and 2) divided into approximately 2,000 mesh groups. Nope. There are no morphs so your sims will need to be average weight to avoid a neck seam.
Yes, these have shoes and yes, the necks do match up with the heads. No, there are no morphs. Can't figure out how to make morphs work so your sims will have to be average weight if you don't want a neck seam. Enjoy! I've got lots more coming!

Well, it’s only taken me a thousand years. Here are all of the rinks--both the skating rinks and the roller rinks--made invisible. Especially useful for all those times you want your sim to skate directly on grass and dirt, haha.
Bonus content: I made a tutorial on how to do this and yes, it’s quite long, but it’s geared toward beginners, though I have tried to write it in such a way that the more experienced among you can easily skip over things you already know.
The Space Chicken Statue from TS1 Updated to TS4. This required an entirely new mesh as TS1 doesn’t have meshes--just sprites. Hope you like, and hope you enjoy. Cheers!
Made a rocket for a Maya tutorial and uh, went a little nuts. There are 11 items total--a tabletop sculpture; a radio; a table lamp; 6 large and small wall sculptures that face left, right and straight up; an end table; and a long, 1x1 curtain. Kim Jong Un hair not included. Enjoy!
For males. Enjoy, and goth out! And thanks be to Pralinesims for the skin. The hair is by the legendary Anto. A very, extremely, muchly hearty thank you to Mauvemorn at Sims4Studio.com for the help!
Better quad meshes from Marvelous Designer using Instant Meshes
I wasn’t really a big fan of Marvelous Designer because of its unmanageable, crazily high-poly, tri-mesh exports. However, I recently discovered this autoretopology tool called Instant Meshes which beautifully generates amazing quad meshes from your tri-mesh exports with just a few clicks. I strongly recommend creators who use Marvelous Designer to try it.
Here’s a tutorial on marvelous designer forum, and here’s the project page. It took me a while to find the download links. I guess ppl on GitHub don’t usually put out obvious download links like we do here. XD
Great tool but you can end up with holes in the mesh; I had some crazy high poly meshes that others had made and found Instant Meshes to be invaluable in fixing the problem--even in spite of mesh holes. :)

Adele Caesar Kitchen Conversion Sims 2 to 3. Note: Sinks that sit close to the edge of the counter have masks that clip through the front of the counter. Fixing it meant ruining the counter’s appearance, so I didn’t fix it. Just use a sink that sits away from the countertop edge--those work fine. Enjoy!
This is my very first post, and because of that I thought it best to point out that I’m new to tumblr and not sure yet how things work, If things here become disorganized, I apologize. I’ll figure it out as I go along. :D Thanks all!
