I'm Not Doing Get Help

“You can’t be serious,” Pinning your arms to your side, your hands fisting the hem of your dress, you couldn’t help but grin at the sight before you. “There’s no way I’m getting on that death trap.”

He patted the seat behind him, that cheeky smile you loved creeping onto his handsome face. “You’ve ridden dangerous things before.” He fake flinched as you swatted him with your handbag, “I didn’t mean it like that!” He laughed, the sunlight making him squint behind his sunglasses.

You eyed the motorbike, if you’d had known you wouldn’t have worn such a short dress. “Though you have ridden dangerous things before.” You couldn’t help but laugh at the suggestive wiggle of his eyebrows behind his glasses as you took the helmet from him, swinging your leg over behind him.

“You think yourself dangerous then Baron?” You teased as he wrapped your arms around his waist, silently praying to whoever was listening that your dress was at least long enough to cover your dignity. 

He revved the engine and kicked the stand, “You know I am, Y/N.”

You woke to someone shaking you. Your eyes snapped up to meet Sam’s, “Hey,” Rubbing at your eyes you sat forward “we there already?”

He nodded, “Jeeves has been out and got our fancy dress outfits, get changed and meet us out on the tarmac.” His outfit had only just come to your attention, a brightly coloured 3 piece suit tied together with a gold pocket watch to match. He caught you eyeing his suit, “I look like a pimp, I know.”

Grinning as you grabbed the only bag remaining on the chair opposite you, you headed towards the back to get changed. “I wasn’t going to say a word.” 

It turned out that Jeeves had pretty good taste. It was just a little black dress, simple in its design, made to hug your hips and chest like a second skin; but simple none the less. Slipping into it quickly you shoved the heels on that were at the bottom of the bag and made to go, grabbing the clutch on the side.

You paused, a black velvet box placed neatly next to the bag on the table. A silk white bow sat atop it, along with a small envelope. You knew who it was from, and you knew you should just ignore it and leave, meet your friends out on the tarmac sans whatever the box contained. That would convey your message the loudest. You should leave it, untouched and unwanted.

You opened the envelope. 

In neatly looped cursive that you’d recognise anywhere, it read:

‘My dearest Y/N, you were never the whore. Yours, H.Zemo’

Shoving the card to the bottom of the clutch as your stomach began to bubble, you opened the box to reveal blue diamond earrings and matching necklace; jewellery fit for a baroness. Swallowing the bile in your throat, you quickly put them on and looked at yourself in the mirror.

They suited you. Ice blue contrasting with your hair. You’d worn similar before, before you’d pawned it all to pay for your one way ticket to the states, before everything erupted around you. Plastering a smile on your face, you left the plane.

Sam let off a low whistle as you began to descend the steps. Rolling your eyes at his antics, Bucky nodded as you joined them on the tarmac. “You don’t whistle at ladies Sam.”

The bickering started. Again.

Sam squared his shoulders, “Sure you do man, ladies need just as much love. Perhaps if you tried it you might-”

You stepped sideways and Bucky moved swiftly to Sam, slapping his shoulder with a bit too much force to be anything but a warning. “I’m just saying man.” He breathed, his hands up in surrender as they held a silent conversation.

No matter how much you teased them for it, you knew they’d have each other’s back in a pinch, no matter how much they fought like an old married couple. Zemo was stood off to your right, observing the situation with a quiet calculating gaze. 

His eyes met yours. Chocolate skimmed over your dress, lingering at the necklace and earrings with a small smile. You frowned, turning back to the bickering men.

“If the children would like to stop fighting,” Zemo announced, his arm braced on a car door. “It’s time to go.” You rolled your eyes as Bucky shoved Sam, who’s only response was to shove back just as hard. 

Bucky held the door open for you as you gave him a small thanks, shuffling into the centre seat. To your annoyance, Zemo was sat on the other side, while Sam occupied the front. He winked, ‘that bastard’.

Pretending you hadn’t seen it you shuffled closer to Bucky, looping your arm through his exposed metal one. He tensed for a moment next to you, you hadn’t thought about what you were doing, just wanted to be as far away from Zemo as possible when you’d shuffled so close into Buckys side that your thigh was pressed tightly against his. 

He relaxed after a beat, your hammering heart filling your ears as the smell of his cologne filled your nose. Listening to Zemo drawl on about keeping in character, you hadn’t forgotten who Bucky was soon to be playing. He was looking down at his lap, or rather, your arm around his. The blush crept back.

“It doesn’t change how far you’ve come.” You mumbled, his lips pulling taut and his head bobbing slightly.

“I know.” Sliding his right hand over to where yours rested against metal, he linked your fingers together tightly. “If you need out, at any point, I’m there.”

You looked up into his blue eyes and you swore, if you weren’t sat in a full car that you’d kiss him from the intensity that was pouring out of them. You didn’t realise how close you were to him until you could feel his breath against your cheeks. You’d fantasised about this moment for months now, and now it was here-

“I’ll be there too.” 

Closing his eyes in frustration, you and Bucky turned to look at the Sokovian next to you, who gave a small wave. “If you need anything, Y/N. I’ll be there too,” His stared at Bucky for a moment, “even closer than your super soldier.”

The car pulled to a stop outside a walkway, illuminated by the neon signs you remember so well. “Hey if you two are done, we’re here.” Sam announced from the front, already halfway out the car. 

Zemo nodded, his gaze never leaving Bucky’s. “Don’t forget your role James.” The door slammed behind him.

“Asshole.” You muttered, slouching in the space he’d occupied moments ago. Bucky remained silent next to you, one hand still linked with yours as he stared forward.

“I don’t...” Bucky started, his voice quiet. “I don’t want you to look at me different after this.” 

Feeling your heart split in two you grabbed his other hand, squeezing both of them quickly as he looked at you. “Nothing,” You shuffled, your knee bumping into his, “Nothing, could change the way I look at you.” 

But would my secret change the way you looked at me? You wondered silently as a small smile crept onto his face. Your brows furrowed, “Just the way nothing would change the way you looked at me, right?” 

It was selfish, getting him to agree to something without providing the truth. But you needed it, needed to hear him say that he’d still be Bucky to you if he ever found out about your past.

He chuckled, “Of course it wouldn’t,” He opened the car door and began to get out, shooting a wink over his shoulder “I’ve only got one doll in case you haven’t noticed.” 

Having worked with Bucky and Sam before the blip, you knew the two of them together meant trouble. There was never a plan, only arguments and bickering over who had the right to make the plan, which usually ended with you making the plan instead. What wasn’t in your plan, was meeting your friends at a small Berlin airfield after their trip to see Zemo.

After having found the space outside of hanger 9, you pulled your phone out and called Bucky. “Okay, I’m here. So what’s my surprise?” Hoping it was going to be something nice, like some of those famous plums he always insists are better than anywhere else in the world, you let your imagination run as you heard him chuckle on the other end of the phone. “Don’t freak out doll, but look to your left.”

Pulling your phone away from your ear as the line went dead you could feel the goosebumps creep along your skin. Swaggering as if he owned the place, and you’d be surprised if he didn’t, was the one and only Baron Zemo; flagging him either side was Sam and Bucky. Shaking off the shock you shoved your phone back into your jacket pocket and stormed over to the three approaching men, noticing an elderly man stepping off a private jet spurred you into walking even quicker. 

“What the hell are you two thinking?” Stopping a few feet away from them you ignored the man in the middle. “You said there was a surprise,” you let your eyes flicker over to Zemo’s brown ones before forcing them back to Bucky “Usually when someone says they’ve gotten you a surprise it’s something pleasant.”

“It’s his fault.” Sam spoke quickly, shoving a finger in Bucky’s direction. 

“Hey, don’t pin this on me. He broke himself out, I only-”

“Oh so you’re completely innocent in this? Pretty sure you-”

Your eyes drifted from your bickering friends to the silent man between them. He was unusually quiet, any smart ass quip he had planned had turned to lead on his tongue the minute you came into the picture. He had wrinkles, only slight, at the corner of his eyes that weren’t there the last time you’d seen him. Days worth of stubble marked his cheeks, but even with all the years and heartache that he’d endured since you’d last seen each other, he was still exactly the same as you remembered. You could only wonder what he was thinking, seeing you here with his enemies after all this time.

“Are we interrupting something?” Sam spoke carefully, pulling your attention away from the criminal in front of you. Bucky and Sam were watching you both with cautious looks, as words begin to fail you. You’d never told your friends about your past further than you’d moved to the states as an adult. They knew you lived in Sokovia for a number of years on and off, but they didn’t know all of it. You didn’t know them during the Civil War, you became fast friends with them during their exile days on the run from the law after meeting Sam and Steve during one of their recon missions. Of course you knew why they were on the run, it’s why you never told them everything. If they knew-

You couldn’t get any words out as your mouth flapped open and closed like a fish out of water. You were blindsided seeing Zemo again and you couldn’t think straight, it had been so long and so many feelings began to rush to the surface you didn’t know where to start or what to say. Letting your eyes drift back to Zemo you pleaded with him silently to keep quiet, to keep your past a secret for the sake of your friendship, the sake of your reputation.

He still hadn’t taken his eyes off of you. “No. I’m afraid I don’t have the honour of knowing your friend,” his lips curved into a smirk as you let out a breath, “though I would certainly like to be introduced.”

“Let’s get on the plane, then we can play nicey - nicey.”

Zemo brushed past you as Sam followed him onto the jet. Your mind was racing, memories of your past rushing back as they escaped the box you’d kept  sealed for the last god knows how many years. “Hey,” Bucky placed his hand on your arm, pulling you out of your thoughts and back to the present. “You good?”

“Yeah,” you nodded. “Just a shock, thought I was getting flowers.” The close contact of Buckys body to yours would usually send you into a tailspin, racing heart and nervous smiles. Now, it was empty; void. Your thoughts occupied by the passenger on the jet.

“I’ll bear that in mind for next time.” He promised as you turned towards the jet, “Let’s get going. The quicker we’re out of Berlin the better.” 

Walking down the gangway you took the seat opposite Zemo, Bucky opting for the one to your right across the aisle. Letting your head fall back as the engine roared to life you laughed a little, rolling your head to look at the super soldier. “I thought I was getting some of those famous plums.” 

You could feel his chocolate eyes watching and assessing the situation, just as easily as you could feel your nerves tingling on the back of your neck. Bucky let off a casual laugh, his head lolled to the side too. “Next time Doll, I promise I’ll get you some of those plums.”

“Perhaps I could get some too.” Flipping your head back you could tell he was teasing, testing the boundaries that were being set and seeing how far he could push it. “I do love plum jam, especially the homemade kind.” 

You set your jaw as his eyes began to dance with mischief. He held the power now and he knew it, you had no choice but to bite your tongue as he toyed with you as innocently as he could. “Well I bet you’ve never had jam as good as Y/N’s, she makes the best jam I’ve ever tasted.” Your heart swelled at Sams sweet compliment as a smile formed as a thanks on your lips.

“Oh I bet it’s delicious.” Zemo drawled, his lilting accent just as you remember it.

“So where are we going now that we’ve broken a convicted felon out of prison?” His eyes dropped from you to look out the window as he took a glass of champagne from the assistant. The old man offered one to yourself, but you declined politely.

“Madripoor,” The Sokovian opposite you drawled in his accent, his fingers pausing in the pages of a book. “Now I don’t recognise this name...Nakajima?”

Leaping out of his seat before you knew it Bucky had one hand fisted in Zemos shirt, the other grabbing a little notebook you recognised as Steve’s. “You touch that again, and I’ll kill you.”

Sinking back in your seat you watched the three men bicker over Marvin Gaye. Taking a cup of tea from the assistant as you relaxed back into your seat, you couldn’t help but wonder why you were heading to Madripoor of all places. You’d only been once, a lifetime ago now, but it made an impression.

“So who are we playing dress up as?” You asked the man opposite you, sipping your tea. You knew his games, and you knew he’d take any opportunity to be the one in the know.

Sam sat forward, “I’m sorry, dress up?”

Zemo heaved a sigh, his hands folding over his lap with a head tilt. “We all have a part to play if we are to get the information we need from Selby. Sam, you will play the part of Conrad Mack aka The Smiling Tiger.” You snorted at Sams expression, his deadpan face betraying his thoughts.

“Seriously? He even has a bad nickname man.”

“James, you will have to become someone you claim is gone.” Your smile dropped, you knew that was going to be hard for Bucky. That much was evident from the scowl on his face. “And you, Y/n.”

His smile oozed mischief. “You will be my beautiful wife, accompanying her husband on business.” 

Sam and Bucky began to protest as his smirk grew. “Fine.” Their shouts of protest falling short as you and Zemo started each other down.

“You can’t be serious Y/N.” Sam began, his hands flying to the brown eyed man opposite you.

Bucky shook his head, letting loose a humourless laugh. “If you think I’m letting you anywhere near her, then-”

You felt a swell in your chest at Buckys protectiveness, “It’s either be his wife or his whore,” Zemo’s smirk dropped, his eyes glazing over as you smiled weakly at your friends. “Plus he’s rich, I’m getting some jewellery out of this.”

“Good morning Y/N.”

You steeled yourself to look up and meet his eyes, cheeks burning furiously as you met his eyes they held something you couldn’t quite place.

“Ah brother!” Thor boomed as you kept eye contact with Loki, “I was beginning to think you were off causing more mischief.”

Pulling his gaze away he stepped around you, leaving you standing frozen in the doorway. “I was sleeping.” You watched him as he pottered around the kitchen as if nothing had happened, placing bread in the toaster and pouring himself a cup of steaming coffee...you weren’t sure what you were expecting.

“Must have been some sleep, you’re usually an early riser.” Thor probed as Loki leant easily against the opposite counter.

“Oh it was.” He smirked into his coffee cup, his eyes flicking briefly over to yours as he took a sip.

With burning cheeks you wanted to say something, anything, in that moment. You realised that the issue with that however, would be that it would allude to your friends what you did, or rather who you did last night.

“Y/N shall I show you that dress I was telling you about?” Confused, you made to tell Jane that she hadn’t told you about a dress, grabbing your arm and walking away you followed after Jane until you reached her room.

“You slept with Loki?!” She shouted as your eyes widened and cheeks grew hot as you stuttered. “What? No. Loki? Psh.” Laughing a little you turned around and rearranged her sofa cushions.

You could feel her eyes on your back, “You did!” She gasped, “You slept with Loki!”

Face crumpling you spun around and clamped a hand over her mouth, “Shhhh! Shh!”

You moved your hand away as a smug grin worked its way onto her face. “Say it any louder and the whole bloody compound will hear you.” You muttered as you sank onto the sofa. Pulling your hair through your hands you sighed at your friend, “Go on.” You gestured.

“How was it? Did you enjoy it? Are you two a thing now then? How many times?” You watched as her face and arms became more and more animated as the questions continued. “How did you -”

“Okay!” You cut her off squeezing your eyes shut, “Okay.” Taking a deep breath in you shrugged. “I can’t really remember -”

“Bullshit!” Jane laughed as she sat on the coffee table opposite you.

“Fine!” You flopped backwards on the sofa and covered your face with your hands, “Fine! I can remember most of it and it was probably hands down the best sex I’ve had to date, happy?” Sitting up and rubbing your face you smiled, “Great talk Jane, do me a favour and don’t mention this to lover boy?”

Standing up and moving to the door she tugged you back, shoving you back onto the sofa. “Oh no, you’re not getting away that easily.”

Silence filled the room as you both sat lost in your own thoughts.

“Did you wrap it?” Eyes trained on the ceiling you were caught off guard. “What?”

“Did you wrap it?” She repeated as your mind whirled. Did you? You couldn’t remember. You didn’t see one this morning and there wasn’t a wrapper on the bedside table. How did he -

“Shit.” You mumbled, the memory of Loki definitely not pulling out played back in your head. “Shit!” You shouted sitting bolt upright searching the sofa for your phone.

“Y/N it’s fine I’m sure,”

Grabbing your phone you shouted a quick sorry to Jane as you ran out, one destination in mind. Running back to your room you stripped off and pulled on last nights jeans and a sweater before grabbing your purse and racing out the door.

Out the door and straight into Loki. Again.

“Shit Loki!” He looked down at you as you picked up your fallen purse.

“We've got to stop meeting like this.” He joked, was that nerves in his voice? “I’m sure the last time I saw those jeans they were on my bedroom floor.”

Straightening up you nodded along before walking away. “Hey,” he called, jogging quickly to catch up with you. “hey, wait.” Grabbing your wrist he pulled you to a stop, a questioning look on his face. “Am I so bad that you can’t even talk -”

“I-need-to-get-the-morning-after-pill.” Cutting him off embarrassed you watched his face morph into more confusion. Please don’t make me explain this Loki.

“I don’t follow, what’s the morning after pill?” Ignoring the way his eyebrows quirked inwards a little as he spoke, you frowned.

With a hammering heart you shrugged him off and walked away, “Use your imagination Loki.”

He was quick at your heels down the corridor as you took a right. “Will you just stop and -” You took a left, “Y/N for the love of -”

“Hey!” You squealed, feeling arms wrap around your waist as he picked you up. He dropped you in an alcove, once again with your back against the wall and him caging you in. “Will you please just explain.”

Groaning as you dragged your hands over your face for the 10th time that morning you looked up at him, ignoring your shaky voice. “It’s birth control.” He stared blankly. “To stop me from getting pregnant? After we did the two man tango?” His face seemed to drop as it sunk in. “There we go, now he realises what I mean.”

He squeezed his eyes shut. “Can you just not joke for just one minute -”

“Oh trust me, I’m so beyond joking right now.”

You stayed there for a beat or two, neither of you speaking or moving. You watched as he seemed to be fighting with himself on what to say, you always assumed that Loki would have been skilled with the ladies. A smooth talker through and through since he always seems to have an answer for everything, but now, stood here in an alcove in pyjamas, the Silvertongue was stuck for words.

You put an awkward hand on his arm, pulling is attention back to you. “I need to go to the pharmacy now.”

Nodding mutely, he stepped aside as you walked away.

“Y/N?” He called as you went to turn the corner. “I’m sorry.”

Frowning, you walked away.

Having to explain to the old man in the pharmacy that you needed the morning after pill was the most mortifying experience to date.

He’d started off by saying how much you looked like his granddaughter, how much of a good girl she is and how much of a good girl you must be because you’re so alike.

‘It’s that angelic face of yours’

He didn’t think you were so angelic when you asked for the morning after pill.

After questions about nearly everything save for the positions you two did, you finally managed to take that bloody pill.

“$55 for this,” You mumbled to yourself in your car as you looked at the tiny pill between your fingers. Popping it in your mouth and taking a drink of water, you swallowed quickly before chucking the bottle on your passenger seat.

Message from Jane: ‘Did you take it yet?’

“Thank God, yes.” You spoke out loud, typing away as another message came through.

‘We need to talk. Properly.’

You know you needed to. There was no point in avoiding it forever, it wouldn’t be too awkward right? You had already seen him after all. And it’s not like you’d been caught by him this morning when you were butt ass naked.

Almost all of your memories from the previous night had come back by this point, the hangover had worn off with the help of some painkillers and berocca. You leant against the steering wheel as the memories played out over and over.

“You know, you’re not so bad when you're not faking it.” You giggled, leaning back against the island. “Faking it?” He laughed from opposite you, his arms folded over his chest.

Placing your cocktail down behind you, you nodded. “Yeah you faker, with the whole ‘I’m better than all of you’ act you do. Like you don’t ever want to get close to anyone.”

“Oh? I never want to get close to anyone?”

Licking your lips you couldn’t help but notice how nice Loki looked in a white shirt. The sleeves were rolled up to his elbows which exposed his toned arms, something you’d never noticed before. “Nah, otherwise you’d let someone in. Even if it was just Thor.”

Loki pushed away from the counter and stalked closer slowly, his eyes fixed on the ground. “And what if I wanted someone other than Thor?” Placing his hands either side of your hips, you watched as his eyes raked up your body, the strong smell of his Asgardian mead falling from his lips.

“Oh?” You breathed, your vision swimming as you tilted your head upwards.

“Oh.” He replied, closing the gap as your lips met.

You knew it was a mistake from the moment it had happened. 

Waking up feeling much too content and comfortable, you blinked your eyes awake to see the sunlight streaming in through the thin curtains. Pulling the cover closer, you were settled for drifting back off into peaceful sleep when you felt something stir next to you. 

Prying one eye open you saw a mass of black hair splayed on a white pillow, a perfectly sculpted ivory body laying in your bed. Memories of last nights escapades came flashing back in bits and pieces; spin the bottle, truth or dare, heated arguments, heaving chests and teeth and tongues, hunger. 

Sucking in a breath you sat up quickly as your hands grabbed your pounding head, “What the fuck,” You mouthed, glancing sideways when you felt movement. Loki’s brows furrowed in his sleep, holding your breath you watched as his leg worked its way out of the sheets. His leg, Loki’s bare leg. This felt too intimate for how sober you were, pulling the sheets up quickly your heart dropped a little when you realised you were bare yourself. “Oh shit...” Realisation dawned on you the more time you spent awake, the reality that this wasn’t your room settling in. 

You were thankful that the sheet was keeping Loki modest at least, you might have been naked but you were just hoping that he had -

Your heart stopped when you spotted a pair of mens boxers thrown haphazardly on a lamp. Squeezing your eyes shut you couldn’t believe that this was happening. This wasn’t your usual routine, you couldn’t remember ever having a one night stand, let alone a drunk one with a literal God. Your head was gradually pounding louder with every waking minute.

You weren’t in your room, that was a positive you told yourself, a quick escape. Should you make a quick escape? You can’t imagine Loki wanting to endure the awkwardness of what was soon to follow if you didn't get out of there quickly. Peeling back the sheet with your arm secured around your chest, you grabbed the first thing you could reach and shrugged it on.

Loki’s shirt. How ironic. 

Standing from the bed your face flushed at how wobbly you felt, your whole body aching from what you can only imagine occurred last night. You heard him stir lightly behind you, feeling your heart hammer faster you tried desperately to find the last remaining pieces of clothing, you grabbed your bra and paused, stock still as his whole body shifted. This was it, you were about to have the most awkward conversation of your life with no underwear on and the worst hangover ever.

Letting out a sigh of relief that he was still asleep, you grabbed your shoes and jeans and decided to just make a break for it. You had plenty more panties and tops back in your room, you didn’t need them. Opening his bedroom door as quietly as possible you took one last glance at the room behind you, you felt guilt wash over you as you watched his chest rise and fall, his hand moving on his stomach with every breath.

Frowning, you closed the door behind you silently and shuffled away. Furiously buttoning up your - his - shirt, you looked around desperately for a clock, anything that would give you a clue as to who would be awake and roaming the halls. The last thing you needed was a lecture from someone after being caught sneaking out of Loki’s bedroom in his clothes.

Steeling yourself as you pulled open the door to his apartment you peeked down the corridor, praying that everyone is too hungover to be awake let alone about this time of the morning. Satisfied that the coast was clear, you made a run for it.

Your cheeks were burning hotter by the minute and you could feel your heart pump faster and faster until you reached your door. “Shit!” You whispered, glancing at the key card entry system. “Fuck, fuck, fuck!” Fumbling in your jeans pockets for your card your hands grew sweaty as your bra dropped to the floor.

You stilled, voices echoing down one of the corridors.

Thumbing your card out of your jeans pockets, you scooped up your bra and ran through the open door as if your life depended on it. Shoving it closed with your hip, you dropped your clothes and tried desperately to catch your breath. “I’m so fucked.” 

Picking yourself up from the floor you dumped your clothes in the wash basket and tossed Loki’s shirt on your bed with only one destination in mind. Flicking the light on in your bathroom and turning the taps you caught sight of your bare body in the mirror.

There were marks dotted across your pale skin, fingertip marks on your hips and raspberry bruises on your inner thighs. Each served as a foggy flashback as you traced around them; moans and prayers as backs arched and limbs tangled -

You snatched your hand away and stepped under the hot water, letting the rivulets run down your aching body as reality caught up with you. You had sex with a God, a God who you did nothing but bicker and argue with constantly, the man who you’d swore was nothing but a self entitled Prince with daddy issues.

Wiping the water out of your eyes you groaned, “Why couldn’t it have been the other one? Literally anyone else?” Scrubbing away the evidence of last night you towelled off and dressed in the first comfy clothes you could find.

What were you to do? You’d never been in this situation before, should you just ignore and pretend it had never happened? Approach Loki in a quiet moment and apologise? “What the hell am I apologising for?”

Snatching your phone from your jean pockets you tossed yourself backwards on your bed.

“Ok google come on, help me out here.” You clicked on the first link of the list. “Number one, talk about what happened.” Thinking back to the man you left sleeping in bed you moved onto number two. “Make sure you get all your stuff...Oh for -” Screaming into your pillow you couldn’t help but laugh as you thought about your abandoned knickers, you couldn’t even do a one night stand right. 

Your phone beeped. 

Throwing the pillow across the room you prayed to anything that was listening that it wasn’t Loki. Jane.

‘Last night went better than expected, me and Thor made up ;)’

“At least someone’s glad they had sex last night,” mumbling as you typed out a quick reply, you shoved some slippers on and decided that sooner or later you would need to eat.

‘Come meet me in the kitchen for breakfast, I need to fill you in on everything while Thor’s still asleep.’

Thinking about the God you’d left asleep in bed too you made your way down to the kitchen, torn desperately between trying to remember the events of last night and blocking them out of your memory all together.

Jane was practically glowing. Arching an eyebrow as you watched her humming about the sleek kitchen you wondered if you were glowing like that, maybe thats the kind of look you get when you have sex with a God, or just good sex of any kind.

“You look awful.” Jane whispered. 

So you didn’t have the glow. Slumping into a chair at the the island you watched your friend serve up the greasiest fry up you’d ever seen; the perfect cure for your raging hangover. “How much did you drink last night?” You watched her as she poured you a cup of orange juice, her skin practically radiating happiness.

“Enough,” You grumbled, taking the cup. “So last night was a success?”

“Last night led to multiple successes.” She winked as you groaned at how good the food was. “TMI for this time of the morning Jane, I don’t need to know how many times you and Thor played hide the -”

“Morning.” You half choked on your eggs as the man in question walked into the room wearing nothing but a pair of low riding joggers. He dropped a kiss on Jane’s head, her smile hidden behind her hand. “Good morning,” She replied as you fought for breath.

Thor gave you a quizzical look as he poured himself a glass of juice and leant against the counter, “Are you alright Y/N? You seem most disheveled this morning.”

Cheeks burning at another comment you shot him a painful smile, “Fine thanks Thor, just a little delicate is all.”

Nodding along in thought he turned to Jane, “Have you seen Loki this morning?” You coughed on your juice, “He disappeared off earlier than usual last night, I’d of thought he’d have risen by now.” Crossing your legs as you burned at the thoughts of last night you lowered your head, eating the rest of your breakfast.

Jane frowned. “Not yet, he probably just had enough of us all being rowdy, you know how he gets.” She grabbed Thors arm reassuringly as you tried to act normal. “I suppose...”Thor trailed off, his eyes watching you shovel bacon into your mouth. “Y/N you spoke with him more than usual last night, did he seem odd?”

Snapping your head up you swallowed thickly, “Odd? As in homicidal megalomaniac odd or as in he’s being an annoying prick odd?” Your cheeks were burning and you were pretty sure your voice shook a little, placing your fork back on the plate you shoved your food away. “Either way, I had way too much to drink last night so if you said I spoke with Loki, sure, but I can’t really remember much.”

Thor nodded along satisfied. Familiar guilt waved over you again as you lied to your friends, vague memories of standing in this very kitchen talking with him, your hands behind you as his body leaned in closer to yours until...

“- Earth to Y/N?” Jane snapped her fingers, a look of worry on both their faces. “Are you sure you’re feeling ok?”

Flashing them a quick smile you nodded, “I’m gonna head back to bed for a bit, you’re right, I’m not feeling too great.” Spinning around to escape you bumped straight into the one man you didn’t want to see yet.

“Good morning Y/N.”
