“Oh, well that was easy! Thank you..for that. I wonder why it was on fire in the first place.”

“Magic is quite handy in such cases. Oh, I wouldn’t know why it was. Not at all.”

“Oh really? Because that fire has you written all over it. Why don’t you use some of your magic and just get rid of it.”

“Why would I start a fire on purpose? I was in the middle of doing so before you so rudely interrupted me.” Turning his head away, hand glowing green, Loki waved his hand, fire dissipating. “See, all better.”

“Your people die, I heard of what happened to your kind.”

“Do attempt something. I dare you. A mortal cannot hurt a god.”

“ Loki, do not think you can fool me. I can tell you’re up to something.. ”

“They’d have new stores  to tell in their break rooms!”

“I believe this should occur. It’d make a great story indeed.”

“Would I do that to you?” She asked tilting her head and giving him a faux sweet smile. “Who says I would be with-out company? It might not be yours but I wouldn’t be alone.”

“ What are you doing? ” The blond asked, genuine curiosity coating his words.

“It would be. Imagine being revived after that? Caughin’ up nuts. I’d hate to be that doc doin’ mouth to mouth.”

“I do believe the doctors would get the scare of their lives. Oh, this would be great fun to do.”

“Well are you just going to stand there or help me put it out?”

Loki sighed dramatically, hand glowing green as he waved it, the flame disappearing. “There we go. Good as new.”

“I really couldn’t care less who set the damn thing on fire. I just offered to put it out. Unless you’re enjoying that bitter scent of char and ash, then by all means, enjoy yourself.”

“Oh, it is quite entertaining watching people’s reactions to it, but I am hardly stopping you from putting it out.”

“Funny thats all I hear when you talk.” She responded quickly before sliding the phone onto the table beside her. “I could get my own.”

“Do you believe he would be as noble as you if things were switched? If not, you’re going to die for nothing.”

“He is Captain America. How do you think this is going to go? I’m a Norse God, you’re a mortal. You can’t kill me, much less hurt me.”

“You don’t scare me Loki, I am a deaths keeper, and I will touch whatever I like in my home.” She retorted as she tugged the phone from his grasp. “So what is it I won’t like?” She asked holding the phone between two fingers.

“Oh, please! Do you hear my voice? I don’t snore like that. I squeak. But I don’t snore, because if I did I would have been suffocated by acorns long ago.”

“---Right. Suffocating by acorns is bad, got it. That is what I am getting from this right now.”
