I was 10 years old the first time a middle age white woman mistook my natural stance, intensity and usual passion for straight up violence.

Because that's how the educational system views little black girls. I spent my entire primary school being nicknamed "that dude" because no matter how sweet I acted, I was never feminine enough. Teachers called my mother swearing on their lives that I HAD to be a cheater because, there was no way I could be smart enough to constantly be in the top of my class. I was considered a ticking time bomb, one of my old teachers once described me to my parents saying that I "had violence sweating through my pores and riffles in my eyes". At 10 years old. With no record of fighting, yelling, not even one smart comment to a teacher.

It took me years to realize that it's just how lil black girls are treated. How we naturally scare the pale faces because of our obvious passion, a feeling they are unaware of.

I am not gonna look down when you tell me to. I know what I am made of. Your false sense of authority over me will not affect my pride. Look me in my riffle eyes while I show you day after day how superior I am.
