Unfortunate "trend" going around that I've experienced personally myself. No one wants to admit it, but this is absolutely made and pushed by 4channers and proshitters, especially far right ones. Hi everyone, just a tip here. If someone says it's a coping mechanism, remind them that coping mechanisms can be maladaptive. They are not exempt from being criticized. Someone can cope with anxiety by self harming. Hurting yourself or desensitizing yourself to harm to others is not justified by your useage.
As a fan of horror, its always good to resensitize yourself to how bad things are and be considerate of how others feel about things. If you realize you could probably see a corpse and be unaffected, you need to resensitize. Same with any dark or horrible thing. You need to be self aware.
