After reviewing the results we have determined that, while the responses were overwhelmingly positive, we did not receive enough to reopen a full physical release.

We will be staying for-profit and reopening as a digital only project. Emails will be sent out to those who have previously purchased any physical bundle with the option for a full refund (minus transaction fees), or a partial refund to switch to digital.

Important announcement

Zine Postponement

Recently, we received an anonymous email expressing discomfort with our zine's theme and having preorders going on during the current events happening with law enforcement and ICE across the US and around the world.

We want to first start by saying the mod team and contributors are vehemently against what is going on with ICE and law enforcement. The tragedies that continue to happen are horrific beyond words and we do not support, in any way, what is going on.

Our zine has never been a police/inmate zine, nor pro-police/pro-ICE. While our social media graphics use traditional police and inmates iconography as inspiration, it is purely because it’s universally understood as a representation of crime.

Our zine’s theme has been crime in a general sense — All AUs. We have canon universe (heroes/villains), detectives, mafia, royalty, serial killer, and more.

We know that fandom is a space used for escapism. Our ultimate goal was to have fun with a trope involving crime across different AU’s and what that looks like from each artist and writer starring our favorite gay ship, BKDK.

While our opinion is that there is a separation between what is happening in the real world and the works of fiction created for this project, we understand that given the current state of the world, some people will find discomfort in themes of crime in their escapism media.

Therefore, after consulting with our contributors, we have decided to close our preorders and hope to reopen them at a later date without risk to the safety of our contributors, mod team, or buyers.

We will be releasing a sales interest check in May, 2026 to reassess the situation and decide on if we should proceed with a physical release and whether or not to switch to a charity model.
