here’s a little painting of some loquats, I thought it’d be neat to show a painting in process and what my pallet looks like 

My first concept for the “Her” poster which is Bauhaus inspired and then i remembered that i’m a realistic painter and why the heck was I trying to do graphic design???? I wanted to show Samantha as complex and how she was built from her experiences. The metro stops were going to have different names to imply the bad-poly stuff that happens later.  I also wanted to highlight the transportation in the movie because I read about how Spike Jonze didn’t want to really show cars, so you only see them in the background or in one scene that is connected to a lot of negative emotions.  I just...love this movie.

My first piece for Poster Illustration We had to choose a movie and create a more nuanced poster that wasn’t specifically for marketing so I chose “Her” (2013). Samantha's longing for a body and struggle with womanhood is so relate-able as a trans woman. Also the unhealthy polyamory hits me real hard.

The finished piece of that bird I posted forever ago. We had to choose a sin or virtue and illustrate it with chiaroscuro and metaphor.   I chose temperance in regards to my need for restraint in relationships.

Pencil portraits can come with a simple graphic background as shown. I’m open to doing fictional characters but I will require plenty of real life look a like reference and a very detailed description.  Final product will be a hi resolution digital file

WIP of a painting i’m working on. I’m scared of where I live right now...

I found out that a symbol for polyamory is a parrot PURELY because of “poly wanna cracker” .....so I’m doing research sketches for a piece about temperance in poly relationships specifically my own need for restraint and awareness. (for a class project where we have to do an allegory of one of the sins or virtues and i’m not ready for all the awful art that will come from this)
