The whole first trilogy is firmly established from, like, the first scene as Elizabeth’s story, as she goes from sheltered daughter to rebel to pirate queen, and yet the idiots in charge at Disney missed the writers’ and director’s point entirely and still think that the unchanging trickster figure that acts as catalyst for Elizabeth’s journey is the one we care about why???
