i DESPERATELY need a Three POV of platform decay holy shit. it gets tapped to go on a mission and its instructions are ‘cause a distraction and then go back to the shuttle and wait for me’ and it instead decides to cause the distraction and then go on a day-long speedrun freeing as many secunits as possible. and then it gets yelled at by everyone. “can it be a we problem” “no. get in the shuttle” secunit three i love you so much

platform decay makes me insane because it's like "what if this person, who previously believed their only possible purpose in life was brutal violence, found themselves in a situation where a young child trusted them so much that they grabbed on and refused to let go" and im just supposed to be okay after reading that???

really the most important thing to me in Platform Decay was MB making sure all its drones got safely in the sealable, protected pocket before it started blowing things up

it is genuinely so sweet of the rogue secunit to immediately offer the hack to probably one of the first secunits it found. its first instinct with its newfound, REAL sense of freedom is to get away and free other secunits. it didn't even hesitate! it just gave it away like it was a costco sample, offering it to whoever it could find

Very minor spoiler, but the bit of Platform Decay that made me genuinely laugh out loud was when Murderbot was ranting about the lack of mass transit options "this was supposed to be a civilised space station!" immediately followed by "Emotion check: I am absolutely fine."

Three, with the air of a child who knows it's in big trouble with one parent immediately trying to get the other parent on its side: it can't be a we problem? 🥺

I finally read the new Murderbot and there's a lot to talk about but all I want to say is I love that MB was mad at Three for disrupting the escape plan but when Three explained that it didn't know why it did the things it did and just started a SecUnit uprising because it could, MB was just like. Yeah actually I would also do this if I were still in my first week of free will. Understandable

A thing i LOVED in Platform Decay was that Nanna kept trying to feed Murderbot and its just lowkey sliding all of it to someone else. Doesn't tell her 'no' and doesn't question why this cranky old lady wants to feed it. Immediately I recognized she actually likes it and wants to take care of it and it DOESNT RECOGNIZE THAT 😭😭😭😭✨️✨️✨️✨️💖💖💖💖

Fun thing about Platform Decay is Murderbot seeing Leonide and going 'am i in hell?' And then Leonide sees Murderbot and it's like 'i hope she also feels like she's in hell'
