Just tryin'

In chapter 17 and 18 of Nest for an Old Bird, Tommy finding out that Philza had placed a bug on him was kinda played for jokes, but I really want to show y'all an alternative reaction I thought of.

"How... long?" Came Tommy's shaken voice. 

 "Since the day you saved me from falling." Phil answered honestly, that's the least he could do now. 

"So you've heard everything?" It was not a question and they both knew it.

"And you, both of you... knew! You knew but you didn't even give me a hint!" 

 Wilbur and Techno could not bring themselves to look Tommy in the eye. 

 "All of you were using me! Am I beneath you, just a child to you? Am I nothing but a pawn?"

"No, Tommy, of course not, we just couldn't risk-" 

 "Risk me accidentally slipping up, right?" Tommy glared into Wilbur's eyes, daring him to challenge his statement, and of course, Wilbur stayed silent.

With a huff, Tommy looked back at Phil. "I warned you to be careful, guess I should have taken my own advice."
