for the longest time, i've tried starting a personal blog but can't ever seem to commit to it. might be it feeling like paragraphs of chores, might be the compulsiveness to phrase my sentiments as perfectly as possible; so the alternative? reviving my tumblr account 🤩
today was my first day of year 2 and it was...underwhelming. the lingering holiday mood made class a snooze fest and making friends in University at this age with this level of awkwardness is honestly paaaainful 🫠
but at least the other parts made up for it! a morning run to the beach, trivia night with friends and rewatching superstore because AMERICA FERRERA
i know i said this was my alternative to a blog but let's be real, it's gonna be my weak attempt to recreate youtuber day in the life vlogs in text form - and i'm excited :D

Cleaned my kitchen and my desk this morning! It feels great to have a space that is calm and not cluttered, but now I have to get actual work done.

finally got out of bed before 11 after days of getting up in the afternoon and managed to tick off half of yesterday's & today's plans! (got a real bad headache yesterday so i just crashed yikes)
half of the plan may not be the most ideal but i'm trying to hold this philosophy that something achieved is better than nothing completed.....else i'll just spend the whole day moping about my unchecked to-dos 🥲
then i had a BEAST of a seafood dinner for a belated birthday treat with my friends and cleansed the palette w some ice cream by the sentosa boardwalks - pretty great conclusion to the mid-week :D

Monday, the 26th of September
I am back home now and I don't feel too well. I am in a weird headspace, furthered by the anxiety of my own writing goals for the next few days but I'll get through that! At the end of the day my writing can never be worse than blank pages.
This morning I already had a lovely phone call with my closest friend and my dog has been in a very cuddly mood as well.
6 o'clock reflection: after a very time consuming and mentally challenging meeting I went to lunch and allowed myself an anxiety and anti-cold nap. I didn't set an alarm, knowing that my nervousness would spike if I awoke solely to work on my to-do list. For two hours I slept in peace before making myself a cup of tea and doing some focus exercises. It was the best decision for me and I know, I wouldn't have allowed myself to rest just a couple of months ago but would have sat in my anxiety for hours, unable to get anything done. Now I am in a good writing process. It reassures me that giving myself space for mental health brings the best results in the end.

yesterday was a HUSTLE except i barely got anything done....had my first class of the new school term and finally realised why i chose to study marketing - case studies of brands are so interesting!
the plan was to send out some job applications (am in a creative dry spell and i'm hoping a copywriting job could pull me out of this rut) and get a head start on some school work, but i crashed right after lunch and woke up right on time to leave for my part time job. oh wells, here's to today going better 🌞
