Every time I open my phone, there’s another reason to break down.

My city is drowning after just one night of rain. I see the news about the abduction of Sonam Wangchuk by the government in daylight. Women still aren’t safe. Corruption is everywhere. Negligence has become normal.

I have cried twice today because I feel so helpless. I can’t fix any of it and this feels like the most toxic relationship i have ever been in.

We feel so helpless because we feel as though we can’t do anything. That’s what they want us to believe, the regime tries to strip it’s people’s power by stripping them of hope. Do not feel resigned to this— do everything you can. Art is your best friend. Speaking up is all you can do. Don’t stop trying. Well get there.

Afzal Guru, the member of Jaish-e-Mohammad, sympathisers feeling helpless? Why? Pahalgam happened just last year. JeM was directly associated with the attack, clearly shows JeM are doing well and all.

If you don’t believe people have th right to free trials because you think their crime is too bad than you’re a problem because that’s NOT how law works. Peaceful protests occur when there is an audience. Hungry people cannot go on a hunger strike. No one will see them do it. They’re already hungry, that’s their reality. That’s the reality for the majority of our population. The people whose hunger this government does see, are discarded and ignored, beaten and humiliated, dismembered from their hope and beliefs. But this protest is different, we are here. This protest has an audience. As long as we keep watching, this protest will be talked about. So that’s what we need, we need to keep talking. This is a peaceful protest and it’s going to succeed. We need to be its audience. Keep talking, keep being enraged, this is your country, you inherit it. The government is most scared of angry young people. Be them.
