it's not shocking

What? Berlin? Yeah, she definitely didn’t remember that. However, that didn’t necessarily mean that it hadn’t happened… Ethan liked to bullshit her sometimes (okay, a lot of the time), but he knew better than to poke the bear when it was already more than prepared to bite his hand off. 

Amity stubbornly folded her arms over her chest, dark brows furrowing as she met his gaze and gave a sharp shake of her head. 

“No.”

Eyes narrowed, certainly his partner would know he wasn’t one to pass up a challenge. Especially one so amendment when given with a single word. Ethan grunted, smirk pressing at his lips as he let his head hang down a bit as he nodded. Oh yes, she was getting thrown over his shoulder and she would be lucky if she didn’t get that ass spanked as well. Jesus Christ she drove him crazy. 

With an eased motion Ethan let his right arm wrap around her waist as he pulled her down onto his right shoulder and put his other arm against the back of her legs to keep her steady. A small grunt left his lips, not from her being heavy, but the effort he was executing to keep his tongue to himself.

                “I can’t say that I have-- I mean this agent must                  have been rather famous for you to assume I                   was him... But I assure you, I am no agent. I mean                  I have a cat how could I be any kind of agent and                  own a cat? It’s against the cat owning laws.”

The tall brunette smirked, playing off any allegation that he had previously worked for SHIELD or any agency for that matter. Ethan flashed his most charming of looks as his body tensed very slightly as to be prepared for whatever dangers might come with this little conversation. Whoever this person was they knew that he had worked for some powerful people, but what made it worse was that prior to working for SHIELD he was a criminal. 

Being found by anyone who might have known he had been on the wrong team and they knew him from before, that wasn’t a thought Ethan wanted to think of. He’d probably no only lose his life but worse, all his money and his shirt would get ruined, it alone was a two thousand dollar shirt. With the thought he checked his cuff links and arched a brow, gaze inspecting and anticipating. 

Betty watched the man she had sat beside with curious eyes, the man before him was a brave one. He was poking the metaphorical bear with a stick and the bear was holding back just to appear decent. Sipping her drink she set a soft hand on his leg and spoke calmly, “No need for that gentleman.”

Her own hazel eyes flicked up to Ethan, “There won’t be a need for that, yet anyways,” she smiled a bit darker at the man across from them, “He’ll tell us. He’ll take us to it. And if he doesn’t you’re welcome to do as you please, but there are too many people watching us right now.”

Setting her drink aside she kept cool and collected, she needed that information and a live informant or there was no point in her being there. Ethan was a good imitator for the job and allowed Betty to play the saving grace.

Ethan was more than annoyed, he could have made a stew of his own brain with how angry he was; and he wasn’t even pretending to be this way. Not even the calming demeanor of his counter part was doing the trick-- yet he did stand down, for the most part anyways. A hand stretched out and he pointed at the other man as if to say ‘you’re lucky’ or ‘I’ll get you’, then he eased  back, huffing a breath of annoyance before he waved the woman on. “Do as you wish, I’m just the muscle here.”

He says it in a nonchalant tone, glancing at his suit jacket as if he were’t really interested in the chosen  topic, when in reality the man is fuming, he’s simply  being polite for the sake of the individual he is with.

Finally his gaze flickers up and the blue hues darken almost in a promising and enraged manner. Ethan  truly means business and will break the mother fuckers jaw simply because he is pissed the fuck off.

             “Do you really want to test me?”
