Depression is such a tricky thing

Everything in your life could seem to be going so well

You could have great friends, just moved to a cool new town, have the most amazing girlfriend

Then; seemingly out of nowhere, like bumping into an old friend that you honestly hoped you'd never see again.

All of a sudden you're finding it hard to force yourself to even get out of bed for an entire week

Where the simplest task, such as walking down the block and getting a haircut feels like an accomplishment.

When the slightest thought of seeing your family absolutely terrifies you

Feeling so mentally unable to handle the feelings of stress, disappointment, and isolation that come along with being the black sheep.

Helplessly unable to find the words to express to your loved ones how without anything specifically being wrong, absolutely everything feels so fucked.

The constant inkling that you're nothing more than a burden & annoyance to those you care most about

Oh...hello old friend...I wish I could say it's nice to see you, but quite frankly.
