i canāt remember the name of my favorite poem but it has this quote in it thatās like āif you pretend to love enough people you will never go hungryā and its about where this person was when Elliott smith died and at the end of it he opens up a fortune cookie and it says something bad and he doesnāt tell anyone about it for a whole year

Sylvia Plath, Letters of Sylvia Plath Vol. I: 1940-1956
From the photography contest of The Nature Conservancy:
Thanks to all our supporters for casting your vote for this yearās āMember Favoriteā image. This photo of a moonlit snowy owl will be recognized in our 2022 calendar.
Native to the Arctic tundra, snowy owls thrive in cold climates where there are high populations of their favorite food, a small rodent called lemmings. During some winters, large numbers of snowy owls migrate to the United States, sending birders out in a frenzy hoping to catch a glimpse of this elusive and majestic bird. The Nature Conservancy is protecting the habitat snowy owls and other migrating birds need at our preserves across the country.
Mary Oliver, āInvitationā from Red Bird
It doesnāt have to be the blue iris, it could be weeds in a vacant lot, or a few small stones; just pay attention, then patch a few words together and donāt try to make them elaborate, this isnāt a contest but the doorway into thanks, and a silence in which another voice may speak.
