Little Shenanigans

So there's been pointless construction going on around my internship for at least 5 weeks now. Everyday parking is it's own new adventure. And the construction zones move every time I come by, though nothing ever gets finished or cleaned up. It now takes an extra 10 minutes to get to lunch because we can't use the front door (there's no more sidewalk).

So after grabbing my subway sandwich and trekking back, I noticed the first driveway into the lot was magically open with some trucks parked in it. To save time, I zipped over there, to get back to the office faster. I was just about to slip between the trucks when I sunk 3 inches. Just SUNK. I hear  "Ohhhhhhh-!" Coming from a line of construction workers on their lunch break, staring at me from the curb. I look down at my heel in a 5 inch strip of wet cement.
