no. a lot of what people were saying about the au was bullshit LOL they threw the word noncon and fetish around like buzzwords and ran with it
the au was always fluff with some angst sprinkled on it. me enjoying dollification sexually doesn't automatically mean everything i do when it comes to dolls is sexual. and if it was, i wouldn't have posted the au on my main in the first place. there are over 90 pages worth of AU and only 4 of those are nsfw art:p
as for the non consensual bit. i've already went over how it was a misunderstanding on shadow milk's part; he mistook pure vanilla's consent from weeks ago as consent for their first doll time, realized he fucked up, they talked about it, and resolved the situation. shadow milk never raped, or sexually assaulted him. what he did do was make the mistake of not asking if he could dollity pv before doing so, which is what freaked pv out. the lack of proper warning on that particular comic was fully on me though, in retrospect i should've tagged it as non consensual body modification
i've grown tired of explaining the au over and over and over again to people who, for the most part, haven't even bothered to actually read the comic. so i gave up on trying. people can have the interpretation they want, i really don't care anymore - what i do know is that, from the very beginning, the au was nothing but two mentally ill people finding comfort in a strange coping mechanism and having their relationship grow stronger from it. even with all the bumps, miscommunication, intrusive thoughts, and other things along the way. and that's what i found beautiful about their relationship! that even with all the difficulties they still managed to get through them with the help of doll time
