“They’re going to be worried sick, so time to take you back to them.”

“Elle, did you tell anyone where you were going before you snuck off? Because Victor and Luna are going to be worried the most.“

“Well, you should be careful. See this?” He held up his hand, showing a white line across the heel of his palm. “I got this when I was your age.”

“Oh? You planning to outdo me?”

“Something like that, yeah.”

“If having a bunch of work to do is nice, then yes.”

“I’m back, Elle.”

“Hey, Elle! Been well, I hope?”

“You sure were asleep for a long time, Elle. Hmph.” She’s not jealous of Luna, oh no. She doesn’t care where Elle decides to nap! Nope! Not at all!

“Milla!” she chimed, hopping over and quickly attaching herself to the other’s side. 

“Good, good…” She gently stroked the girl’s head again. “Mama’s so gad to hear that, dearest. She worries about you a lot you know.” Bending down to be at the same height as the girl, she kissed her forehead gently. “Try to stay safe and healthy for Mama, all right?”

“No not really. Especially when I’m just being honest.“ That and he’s staying single. Because he’s not going to start explaining the part spirit thing or the fact he died once anytime soon.

“It sounds like you’re hitting on her, with all the ‘gushing’ you’re aiming at her.”

“It matters little what I ‘need’– I don’t deserve kindness for a pure soul like yourself. You should save that for your real Papa.” Because he could imagine Elle’s Victor worrying every night if she were okay. Even if she were a pawn in his little game.

“You don’t need to be my Daddy to get a hug.” Elle explained. “Besides... my Daddy is gone. He never showed up in the omega dimension.” she frowned lightly before shaking her head.
