After over a year existing in my head, and 6 months of planning, Rise of the teenage mutant ninja inkling is officially becoming a fan comic :D!
The rise and the splatoon fandoms are not one to overlap, nor atleast from what Iāve seen, so you might have no clue what either mediaās I am squashing together are, so let me explain;
First off! Rise of the TMNT, where the majority of the story will be taking place, is a variant of the teenage mutant ninja turtles, only with a magical twist; the four brothers uncover that their new York is far more magical than they first believed, with an underground city filled with Yokai, mutants, and mysteries. The tv show follows their every day shenanigans and missions to become heroes, unintentionally uncovering that were made for something far greater than they believed.
Splatoon is a video game set in the far future of our own earth; with humans wiped out by war, ceplopods and other marine life walk out of the seas, combining with the reminents of human dna to become the next dominant species. In Splatoon, you play as a octoling or an Inkling, and explore the various cities of Inkadia, partaking in the favourite sport of the inkfish - turf war!
Of the two medias, I recommend looking into Rise the most, as much of the story is focused on that universe,. However, for both, I will try and explain events and characters in story to help those unassociated with one of the two.
Posting schedule, I havenāt quite decided, and Iāll take breaks as I need them, but, as of now, I hope to be able to post two pages every two or so weeks. A master post on my tumblr will be made soon as well for ease of reading, and also to see my other rottmni related artworks. Iām super excited to start this new journey. wish me luck!

Elemental Au, where Raph is a Gnome, being of earth, able to mold himself with the rocks, soil, and sand, and can create other versions of himself, but breaking off parts of himself. Donnie is an Undine, being of water, able to freeze himself to create his gadgets, and melt to move and reconstruct himself. He doesn't evaporate himself because he doesn't like the feeling of separation as a water cloud. Leo is a Sylph, being of air, to drift around and float with the air, to move super fast, looks more like a ghost/spirit than a dust cloud. Still can portal (probably using waves to do it). Mikey is a Salamander, being of fire, able to become plasma to have a more physical form, can float, and is always burning but never going out, but can control the amount of heat he gives off.
Turtles got their elemental powers from a curse that is slowly turning them into an element. To return to normal, they must go into the elemental plane, become one with their element, and obtain an elemental core to keep them stable.

Leo and Donnie are canonically born on the same day. Leo is older.
It was briefly mentioned that Kendra and Donnie could end up together (tbh the wording wasnāt super clear so idk)
It was also said later on that there were no planned romantic relationships for the turtles, and that the only romantic relationship was gonna be Big Mama and Splinter. The fate of kendratello is unclear for all the kendratello shippers out there
Big Mamaās motivations are
1) Money
2) Lou Jitsu rawr (Iām not kidding about the rawr he actually growled)

One of the first ideas for the bad future in the movie was Donnie being dead, and his battle shell hung on the wall.
Donnieās death was supposed to be Leoās fault/ have Leo blame himself
We donāt know Juniorās bio father and theres very little chance we ever will. Not even Ron Corcillo knows </3
Yet again they have confirmed 2 other turtles in the mutation tank with the main four - one Big Mamaās assistant, as seen in the farewell comic
For favourite icecream flavour: mikey mixes them all together, Raph rocky road, and Leo likes pistachio. Donnie would probably not eat ice cream or he would create his own āidealā ice cream.

The Krang were on the earth long before humans. There was also something about them being buried under the Brooklyn bridge?
Leo being more cocky in the movie was because they wanted to accommodate to new viewers and show clear character development. Also he just got promoted.
