Rules.
1. I do take requests, but there are somethings I will not write
2. Character death, it's just that I've never done it and would have no clue how to set it up - I might be trying it in an upcoming story
3. NSFW/non-con/SA, once again I've never written about it before and would have no clue how to set it up, but also I will not write about non-con/SA, it's not in my morals and not something I support or want to Romanticize. But for NSFW, I will have as far as making out, implied, and off-screen, that is as far as I will go
4. Labor scenes, it would make me uncomfortable to write about something so sensitive, I'll go as far as getting to the hospital and after
5. Omegaverse, sorry in some ways I think it can be written well depending on the person, I'm just not one to those people
6. Suicide, sorry I won't write about that kind of sensitive subject
7. I only write character x character, unfortunately I've tried to do character x reader, and it doesn't work for me either I go into writers block, or it doesn't perform well, or it never gets finished
8. I won't write stories where the partner is bullying the other partner, for example: Bridget x Hook, Morgie x Fay, Maleficent x Fay x Hades. I'm sorry, but it doesn't sit right with me
9. Domestic abuse, once again, goes against my morals and trauma, but also I won't write about that kind of sensitive topic
10. At the moment I'm only writing for Descendants, but I will notify when I'm writing for other Randoms
And that's all for Rules for now.

Avoidance and Acceptance. - Warnings! Supernatural, brief Jasper history; it's based in the 2000s. Jasper is now aware of how terrible the Confederacy was. First time writing for this fandom: Leah's trauma/backstory, imprinting, different cultures, specieism/insults of a certain group, brief mentions of infertility, avoidance, manipulation of someone else's emotional state, flip flopping pov, and angst! Timeline set in Eclipse after the battle.
Summary/Description: "There is still a great deal we have to discuss, Leah Clearwater." .The rough baritones of his southern accent had an oddly pleasing effect, but a handsome face and a deep voice only went so far with Leah nowadays.
Miracles and Perils. - Warnings! Supernatural, second time writing for this fandom, infertility trauma, emotional breakdown, fainting, imprinting, speciesism (insults to certain groups of supernatural backgrounds), manipulation of emotions, Leah's backstory, illness, denial, pregnancy, flip flopping pov, time skips, and angst.
Summary/Description: She called out for him in a delicate tone, which was a rarity that very few had heard before. His amber gaze found her amidst the chaos surrounding him, and Jasper found he could only smile at his Leah. "I'm right here, honey."
Jasper had silently taken everything in. When he first laid eyes on the small image, he found a sense of satisfaction in his chest, knowing that little being had been created between himself and Leah. Although there was a fear that lingered. Our child won't live a normal life by any means.

A content sigh escaped the Quileute woman; she nuzzled her cheek and nose against the pillow underneath her head, and her eyes remained closed as sunbeams shone through the small gap in the curtains of her bedroom that she had recently moved into with Jasper on the reserve.
She allowed the corners of her lips to quirk upwards as she felt a chilling caress along her waist that soon settled on her shoulder to roll her onto her back.
Leah fluttered her eyes open to peer tiredly at her new husband of a little over a month. While they had been engaged, the Quileute Tribe's council had granted permission for Jasper to live alongside Leah on the Reservation. They soon married after waiting for his and Alice's divorce settlement.
"Well, good mornin', Mrs. Leah Whitlock." .The cadence of Jasper's southern accent in the morning was soothing for Leah to hear. A small confirmation that all of this was indeed real and not a dream.
"Good morning to you too, Cowboy." .She let out a lengthy yawn and came to sit upright against the headboard, combing her fingers through her disheveled locks. "It doesn't feel like our honeymoon should have ended last night; heck, our wedding seems like it should've been only a week ago."
Time had never felt faster to Leah, yet since getting married, the days had begun to feel like mere hours compared to a year ago when she had been in her darkest of days and life had gone at a snail's pace.
The honey blonde gave a nod in agreement. Jasper found that despite his one hundred and sixty-six years of existing, it was only now, in the two-ish months that he and Leah had spent together, that he understood that life, when spent in bliss, went quick.
I suppose this is what Bella and her friends meant by time flies fast when you're having fun. An uneasiness washed over him at the thought that Leah was possibly on limited time. He clung to the hope that, as a shifter, she could live with immortality; however, she was the first and only woman to phase, and uncertainty surrounded her role in the Tribe's history.
His amber gaze followed the young woman as she swung her long, tanned legs over the edge of their bed. Leah began getting ready for the day, pulling out random pairs of undergarments from the dresser along with a loose-fitting sleeveless shirt.
By the time she turned around, Jasper had put on a pair of gray sweatpants and had fixed their bed to perfection, her decorative pillows fluffed and placed at the right angle.
"I'll have to tell Jake that there are, in fact, benefits to imprinting and marrying a vampire after all, or as he would say, a leech or bloodsucker." .Although she and Seth no longer used those words to describe Jasper or any of the Cullens, for that matter, the rest of the pack weren't as open to the idea of a vampire living on the reserve.
Her comment earned a grin from the empath, who followed close behind her after she passed him and went into their master bathroom to take a shower.
The scent of lavender and lemon from earlier that morning stuck with Jasper even as the pungent smell of iron filled the air around him and Emmet. "With you out of the house and soon Edward, it'll just be Carlisle and me holding the front against Esme, Rose, and Alice."
Jasper chuckled at his adoptive brother's words. Emmett always radiated a joyfulness that the empath found nice to be around, compared to Edward, who, more often than not, carried a depressing mood.
"So the other wolves still smell like wet dog, but how about Leah, given your mates and all?" .There was still quite a bit of curiosity surrounding his relationship with Leah, as they both were rather private individuals.
"She smells like a magnolia in May." .He kept his response short and vague with a southern edge, which only amplified the interest of the bulky man who sat with him.
Once the immortal pair polished off their brunch in the woods, Jasper and Emmett raced to the Cullen residence. Tonight was Edward's bachelor party, which to the entire coven was a life-changing event.
"Our prude is finally making it down the aisle." .Rosalie's remark caused an uproar of laughter from the undead group.
While Edward appeared more than displeased by the comment, his emotional state was an even more depressing story as Jasper found it always had been since the day he met the telepath.
"I'll see Bella for a moment, and then we can go hunting for mountain lions and bears." .There weren't many fun animals to hunt, given that they could pick up an entire truck if they wanted to and chuck it into the ocean, but mountain lions and bears came close to a satisfying chase.
A rough pat on the shoulder caught Jasper's attention. When he turned, he was met with a knowing smirk from Emmett. "Sorry, werewolf isn't on the menu tonight."
The honey blonde's fist collided with the brunette's solid shoulder in a mock warning, which Emmett took in stride, his smirk remaining.
He bit down on his lip and shook his head. Leah was visiting his mother-in-law, Sue Clearwater, and tonight she would be on patrol, so his cozy cabin was currently missing the one thing that made it feel like home.
About an hour went by before Jasper and Emmett trailed after Edward. Before the former soldier could make it down the staircase, an iron grasp caught his wrist, tilting his head backwards; he was met with Alice, who smiled up at him.
"I told you that you'd be happy together." .The pixie-like woman had a whole "I told you so." Attitude surrounding her, but the blonde couldn't be upset with it. I've never been happier.
He waved her goodbye before chasing after his surrogate brothers in the direction of the Swan household. It didn't take long for him to catch up with them, which Edward and Emmett took as a challenge. The three vampires propelled themselves off the ground and through the forest.
When they arrived outside of Charlie's home, Jasper and Emmett watched as the groom-to-be elegantly glided into Bella's bedroom window. The pair of men shared a look as they overheard Edward's confession of his colorful past.
They all, aside from Rosalie, had shameful histories of murder and draining the lives of humans dry. Some worse than others. Jasper believed himself to be the very worst of the Cullens. What Edward's admitting to is child's play in comparison to the atrocities I've committed.
He could feel as Emmett grew antsier by the minute with a whistle; the man leaped up to the window, disrupting the couple. "Send him out, Bella, or we're coming in after him!"
Jasper, then, came up to the open space once Emmett dropped down. He gave a smile and gripped the wooden frame gently. "Don't worry, Bella, we'll get him back in plenty of time."
As soon as Edward's feet hit the ground, the honey blonde and brunette rough-housed him around, pushing his shoulder, back, and tugging on his hair before taking off into the pitch-black forest. Hooting and hollering at each other to lighten the mood.
Soon, the very primal instinct of hunting took over the three men as they scaled a rocky mountain within the Cullens' territory. Bears were currently on the agenda, with a bet being set in place for whoever could find one first. Jasper, himself, preferred cougars, but he was a betting man at heart.
Unsurprisingly, Emmett came out victorious as he met back with his adoptive brothers with what was possibly over a seven-foot grizzly in tow, dropping the poor, lifeless creature before them. "That's right, one thousand a piece, boys!"
With an unnecessary sigh, both leaner-sized immortals pulled out several bills from their wallets to hand over to the muscular man upholding their bet.
"Cougars next, let's say the victor receives five hundred from the losers?" .A ghost of laughter came from the group of three as they all swore to a gentleman's agreement, something that had become somewhat of a tradition whenever they participated in hunting competitions.
Once Edward's bachelor party had reached the four-hour mark with their blood thirst quenched entirely, several bets that resulted in barely any gain for any of the three, the bachelor proposed that they race back to the Cullen residence.
The two younger of the undead took off without a second thought; the soft ringing of the former Major's flip phone had him pause as he pulled out the small device to see the caller ID. Seth Clearwater. "Jasper, you gotta come home now; something's wrong with Leah."
Seth wasn't even given a chance to elaborate further because, as soon as the young shifter finished his first sentence. Jasper had darted off in the direction of the Reservation.
What could be wrong with Leah? How could something have happened to her? The horrific scenarios that ran through the empath's mind were creating a boisterous tension that felt as if he were in a chokehold.
Time seemed to finally slow for the first time since being with the outspoken Quileute woman; even though he was sprinting at the speed of light, it wasn't enough for him. It was incredible how impactful her place in his life had become in only the two months they had known each other.
He almost hadn't registered, blurring his way past Sue Clearwater's house, which was only a mile away from where he and Leah's lodge cabin was set up. One thing he took note of was her missing vehicle. She must be with Leah and Seth.
Jasper Whitlock suddenly planted his feet deep into the earth beneath him, skidding to an abrupt halt as the familiar scent of Carlisle came from his home.
The pure apprehension that he bore for his young wife, who was significantly more genetically fragile, surged through his undead being. Something was wrong supernaturally; why else would they call for Carlisle?
When the honey blonde made his way through the front door of his home, he was first met with Sue holding herself as she paced back and forth through his living room; her facial expression seemed to ease once she saw her son-in-law.
"Oh, Jasper, thank God. Seth and Jacob said everything seemed normal. Leah was fine on her first day back patrolling, but after her shift ended and she got dressed, she was disoriented, and then out of nowhere she just went unconscious and collapsed in her brother's arms." .Sue Clearwater's maternal love and concern filled the entire house; it seemed to wrap around Jasper in a comforting embrace.
The older Quileute woman took his icy hand and led Jasper through the hallway to his and Leah's bedroom. The dark mahogany door was wide open, allowing his ambery gaze to settle on his wife, propped up against their pillows as Carlisle checked her vitals.
Her eyes flickered toward the occupied entrance of her bedroom, where her mother and husband stood, both of whom appeared discombobulated and dazed by the events that had transpired.
"Jake and Seth were exaggerating. I'm fine, really." .Leah's attempts at easing the tension were disregarded completely as Sue, Jasper, Seth, and even Carlisle seemed unconvinced by her.
She pressed the palm of her hand against her mouth; a wave of nausea washed over her body; however, she didn't have the urge to throw up. Her husband seemed to have an immediate reaction, jumping into action as a glass of water was presented to her; he now stood next to the doctor. "Thank you, Jasper."
Taking a long sip, she gave a grateful sigh as she was relieved of her queasiness; she rested a sun-kissed hand on her lower abdomen.
Meanwhile, Carlisle paused in jotting down her vital signs; the space between his eyebrows wrinkled as they furrowed close together, and she observed as he readjusted his stethoscope back in place when their eyes met. "Leah, could you lift your shirt for me just to your belly button?"
The immortal man's request brought unease to the she-wolf. Did he sense something wrong with her? Leah looked to her little brother, who stood by the dresser, then to her mother, who sat at the foot of the bed, and finally her husband, who reached out for her hand and placed a chilly peck on her wrist. "It'll be alright, darlin', Carlisle knows what he's doing."
Jasper and Leah nodded to each other, he released her hand allowing her to pull back the fabric over her stomach.
She found the blonde doctor's silence to be insufferable as he pressed the smooth surface of his stethoscope down on her stomach, but his expressions told a story of bewilderment.
When a pair of golden eyes met with her, there was a moment of hesitation in Carlisle before his posh voice filled the room. "I never knew it was possible for something like this to happen. Leah, after you phased for the first time, you were told that you were infertile, correct?"
The room became eerily silent at the implication that Carlisle had made. As the realization sunk in Leah shook her head violently, her heart ached in disbelief and devastation. I can't be. They said I could never have children. "You have no idea what you're talking about! I'm not- I can't- They said I was unable too!"
A strangled sob spilled from quivering lips, her shoulders trembled uncontrollably. He was wrong! He had to be, I stopped menstruating after shifting, he is lying! He's using the one thing he knows can hurt me, trying to get my hopes up!
"I assure you, Leah, I have decades of medical practice, I have detected a heartbeat that is not your own. It is in fact far stronger than that of a human baby." .His word of confirmation did nothing for Leah, her fingers dug into her scalp and tugged as a scream left her. There's no baby. they all told me, I was infertile. Jasper has been dead for over a century. It's impossible.
"You can perform an ultrasound at your place, Carlisle. Then we will all know for certain. Would that bring you peace of mind, sweetheart?" .That southern voice met her ears along with frigidity hands that clasped over her heated ones ceasing her from ripping out her own hair.
Once her fingers fell away from grasping her head of hair, his palms came down to cup her warm, teary face, his thumbs brushed away tears and left a coolness in their wake. A sense of calm settled on her shoulders, she knew he was subtly manipulating her emotions, but she welcomed it wholeheartedly.
Eventually, her mother snapped out of her initial shock, she pushed herself further onto the bed, her warm, gentle hands held her daughter's shoulders earning her attention. "It'll be okay, baby. I'll be there through the entire thing."
Sue sniffled and took her first born into her arms, who's wails were muffled by her mother's gentle, yet protective embrace.
Seth had remained frozen at his spot by the dresser through the whole ordeal with his mouth agape and tears threatening to run down his cheeks; however, he pulled himself together and joined his mother and older sister, wrapping his arms around them.
The small family unit decided to ride in Jasper's car as Leah refused to be separated from her mother's comfort; on their way to the Cullens, with Carlisle choosing to make the run home.
Choked sobs continued to escape the younger Quileute woman in the backseat during the ride, all the while Sue patted and rubbed her daughter's back similarly to how she had done back when she had just been an infant.
Jasper drummed his fingers against the steering wheel, his topaz eyes flickering every so often to the rearview mirror to peer at his mournful wife, her overwhelming emotions tugged on his dead heartstrings. He pressed his boot firmly against the gas pedal.
A sigh of relief came from Seth Clearwater once they made the turn into the driveway, he leaned over the side of his seat to see his mother and sister. "Leah, we're all here for you."
Between the two of them Seth had always been better with comforting people, and simply talking in general. Leah tilted her head to him with a shaky breath. "I- I know."
Watch, we'll go in here, I'll have an ultrasound, and it'll be blank. No baby. A brand new set of tears came following that thought. Jasper and Sue were on either side of her, walking in tandem with her.
Everyone in the Cullen residence was wide awake as always. Alice and Esme smiled at her; Edward kept his distance given that he didn't think very highly of the shifters, with his complicated history with Jacob. Leah found it intriguing how Rosalie and Emmett seemed to stick close to them as Carlisle led them to the makeshift medical office.
Leah faltered in her steps when she approached the bed that the pale doctor directed her to lay on. Her heart was going to be broken all over again, Carlisle was wrong, she couldn't conceive.
Her mother and brother stayed near the foot of the bed, while Jasper came to stand by her head, where their hands intertwined against his side.
A shiver and gasp came from Leah as a generous amount of chilled gel was applied to her abdomen before Carlisle used a device to spread it into a thin, shiny layer. "I'm sorry, I should've warned you."
She rested her head back, her dark eyes trained on the screen, while the blonde doctor worked specific buttons on the keyboard, when suddenly the screen blinked to life and projected Leah's womb for everyone in the medical room to observe.
Time seemed to slow down and stop completely as Leah tried to process the image on the screen glaring back at her in black and white. A small figure that resembled a baby.
A baby. Jasper and my baby. She was sure in that moment she forgot how to breathe as the little miracle squirmed and bounced around in hyperactivity. A gentle squeeze gave her a silent reassurance that Jasper was still with her.
Salty tears fell down her cheeks, but they weren't ones of grief. Leah had walked into this believing she would be met with heartbreak, but she had been met with the complete opposite. I thought nothing could compare to when I had imprinted on Jasper, but this came close, if not on par.
"What is it?" .Edward's biting question was the first thing Leah processed after being utterly captivated by the little image in front of her. The rest of Cullen's had wandered their way into the room.
Rosalie scoffed at his comment with an unimpressed look in her eye. "A baby, Jasper and Leah's baby, you should be happy for them."
"What I mean is what will it be? How is this even possible, Jasper isn't alive and Leah is supposed to be infertile." .His elaboration only served to dampen the mood for everyone. Carlisle turned in his chair around to face everyone in the room.
"From what I understand about imprinting, there is a reproductive aspect; it's possible that because of the imprint Leah is incapable of conceiving children unless fathered by Jasper, or there was a severe misdiagnosis regarding her fertility." .As various conversations and disagreements erupted among the Cullens, Sue and Seth came around to stand closer to Leah.
Her mother took her face in her hands, her own face was tears stained as she looked from the screen to her daughter. "My baby girl, I'm so happy for you."
Leah relished her familiar bonds. Seth had a dopey grin on his face with watery eyes; Sue cried alongside her from the overwhelming happiness. However, as she peeked past her mother's shoulder to see her husband, she knew Jasper was overwhelmed, as every person present had a storm of emotions crashing down on him. "Jasy."
She called out for him in a delicate tone, which was a rarity that very few had heard before.
Although, he had to admit there was a fear that lingered. Our child won't live a normal life by any means. He wrapped an arm around Leah and pulled her flush against his side.
Soon enough exhaustion began to settle over the Clearwater's from the series of stressful events that had transpired in a short span of time. Carlisle walked the family out with the other Cullen's listening from the living room.
"Tomorrow being Edward and Bella's wedding, I'll have to see you two again on the fourteenth, the baby appeared healthy, but I still have concerns." .Jasper And Leah Whitlock both nodded in understanding as they also had concerns of their own that they would have to discuss at a later time.
Jasper threw his car keys to Seth, who fumbled them around before getting hold of them. "You and Sue can drive back, I want to take Leah out for a moment."
His brother-in-law gave zero fuss and neither did his mother-in-law, who hugged them both before getting into his vehicle. When the headlights disappeared down the driveway, the honey blonde hoisted the Quileute woman into his arms with a smile.
"You know I'm going to spoil you, darlin'." .Leah flushed at Jasper's words as he made it through the dense forest at a quick pace. He seemed to have a specific destination in mind as a familiar tree came into view.
The same one just behind the treaty line. Jasper leaned back against the bark, his arms held her close to his body, ebony eyes met with his amber. "You're truly glowing, my Leah."
A pair of heated lips caught his frigid pair into a slow tender kiss, Leah's fingers tangled in his wavy blonde locks tilting his head at the right angle to deepen the intimacy of it all. They were expecting a baby, despite the odds weighing against them, Jasper and Leah had created a miracle.

I hope you have enjoyed this sequel, I'm hoping to write a third part! Have a blessed day, y'all!!
A/N: My ao3. First Tumblr fic post in like a year or two, so we're kind of back? @giveityourworst we're so back!! I recently got back into Twilight, and these two have been on my mind a lot about what their dynamic would be like with Jasper's gift of panthokinesis/empathy and Leah's tragic life experiences and past. Stick with me it would be interesting!
A/N 2: I fact checked to be lore/canon accurate "Yankee Doodle" is a song that was passed around by word of mouth starting somewhere in 1750-1760, so it is very possible that Jasper heard it as a human.
Warnings!
A/N 3: Anyway, I hope you enjoy and have a blessed one! Please feel free to leave criticism, as this is my first time writing for Twilight!

Heavy tension grew on the front lawn of the Black residence, becoming palpable to each member of the pack, though the severity and reasoning varied. Bella, Paul, Jared, Embry, and Quil Jr. voiced their concern for Jacob and his current medical state.
While a couple of feet away stood Leah and Seth Clearwater, along with an unfamiliar man who had captivated the young she-wolf just before the war had begun. Along side him stood a short and perky woman, who glanced between the two groups.
The expression he wore was unreadable, his golden eyes were animalistic, yet held a vacant far off stare that sent a shiver down the ebony haired woman's spine.
"You know what Seth, when you can tell Jake, I could've taken that. I can't be here." .Leah felt partially responsible for Jacob's injury, but she couldn't spend a second longer under the honey blonde's scrutinizing gaze.
She took notice of the way Jasper, as he had introduced himself in the clearing that morning, clenched his jaw, but remained silent as she pushed past him and the pixie.
It was possible she may have made it a foot away before a gentle sensation of pure tranquility washed over her and settled in her chest.
Taken aback her steps faltered, settling a shaky hand over her heart, she couldn't resist peering back. Charcoal eyes met with an ambery gaze.
"There is still a great deal we have to discuss, Leah Clearwater." .The rough baritones of his southern accent had an oddly pleasing effect, but a handsome face and a deep voice only went so far with Leah now adays.
Her eyes fluttered shut as she inhaled. Leah could barely catch Seth call out to her when she took off in the opposite direction, shifting seamlessly.
The group of three watched as the silvery gray shifter disappeared into the thicket of the woods. Seth ran his fingers through his hair. "I'm so sorry, I'll try and talk to her."
The young shifter shook his head with a grim frown. He whipped out his phone and exchanged numbers before making his way to the pack to overhear details on Jacob's condition.
Alice hummed and placed a hand on Jasper's forearm. "I saw this somehow despite the wolves creating a blind spot. We weren't built to last, but it's for the best; trust she will come around."
Her attempts at soothing the former soldier landed poorly as he tugged away from her. That wasn't what Jasper wanted to hear now. They had spent decades together; Alice had put him on the right path, and now they were just nothing?
It didn't help how content she felt and how much he wished she felt even an ounce of grief for their time together coming to an end. If he had been Edward, would she have cared then?
The smaller vampire carefully brought a hand to his stony cheek and directed him back. "Jasper, you have to reach out; she needs you, desperately, even if her pride won't allow her to admit it. You even told me you felt the pull of the imprint; you both can't fight this."
The southern blonde gave a firm nod to his soon-to-be ex-wife; he would begrudgingly follow her words of wisdom as they nearly always held true.
As days turned to weeks with only fleeting glimpses of Leah over the border and his pleas falling on deaf ears, Jasper came to the quick conclusion she was blatantly ignoring him, as he was aware the werewolves had advanced hearing, possibly even better than his own.
The young woman always maintained a good distance, even with the treaty line in place to separate them; she kept a good seven yards away.
He realized she had figured out his ability and how he had manipulated her emotions the last time he properly spoke with her. He found her to be rather clever. Although he could still feel her emotions, her distance hindered projecting or altering whatever she felt currently.
How could so much lividness, sorrow, and pure heartache consume someone so young? He could understand for vampires given his colorful history. Leah was, in a way, human; she had a younger brother, and she had turned nineteen recently, but that was all he knew.
He had little to no knowledge of the she-wolf and her life. Seth had tried to offer up information to aid him in speaking to Leah, but Jasper decided to decline the offer.
If there was one thing he could figure out about Leah, it was that Seth meant everything to her as her baby brother, and the idea of him spilling his guts to the man she wasn't particularly open to didn't seem like a great place to start.
Jasper leaned against the tree; he was stood in front and just behind the boundary that gave him a decent enough view of the silvery she-wolf, who stared back like he had challenged her to a competition.
It was fascinating to him how well she fought the urge to be near him. From Jacob and Seth's description of imprinting, she should've been following him like a puppy begging to be taken home, yet she moved strategically within the bounds of their bond; coming in range of him seemed to be enough so that she could feel at ease without having to grovel.
He honestly believed if Leah really gave it her all she could force herself to stay deep in the reservation without ever having to worry about avoiding him with the treaty line there to keep him at bay.
Some part of her whether it gave into the imprint or she genuinely was curious kept coming back to steal glimpses and stand at great distances with him. For once he envied Edward and his gift of telepathy what he would give to know what she was thinking.
"Yankee Doodle went to town riding on a pony." .The Texan man whistled a soft tune to the old song that he vaguely remembered from his mortal life.
Jasper let out a ghost of a laugh despite feeling no amusement, earning a confused head tilt from the wolf-like creature. How could he possibly forget, he had been born in the year eighteen forty-forty, served as a Major in the Confederacy, ironically was turned by a Latina vampire Maria, and murdered hundreds upon hundreds of humans and newborns.
What part of his past wouldn't be an absolute turn-off to this spitfire across an invisible boundary from him? He closed his golden eyes and self-soothed. Alice had insisted that Leah was worth the trouble he would endure, but for him it certainly felt the other way around, as he had no difficulty with Leah.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the territory, Leah had to say it was rather intriguing to observe as the blonde leech she had been shackled to by fate brooded in the misty, fog-ridden forest of Washington.
For nearly a whole month, this had been going on. He had spent the first entire week studying patrol patterns, specific areas that carried high traces of her scent in the air, and then she came across Jasper standing in the exact spot he was today.
It had been enraging to see the undead man at first given that her instincts were at a constant battle against her own mind, and secondly when she had seen him, she had thought he had broken the treaty and crossed.
Leah had to give the bloodsucker credit. The man was undeniably intelligent and cunning enough to find a nook within the Cullens' territory that put him just outside of the Quileute reserve, keeping the treaty intact. With this loophole, he may as well have been riding the fence.
Although where the vampire stood allowed her the perfect clear viewing of him.
Even if she hadn't imprinted, she recognized that she would've found him to be unquestionably alluring; his topaz eyes were utterly captivating, the gentle swoop of the bridge of his nose made it damn near perfect, his mouth had a natural peachy tint with a plump vermilion lip that she found herself thinking of at random times throughout the day, an elegantly sharp jawline that wasn't overwhelming and screamed to be stared at, but rather admired in subtleness, wavy, untamed honey blonde hair that framed his face, and that hauntingly eye-catching pale skin that surprisingly complimented him, and brought together to make the man before her.
If I allowed myself to give in fully to the imprint's relentless fight, I would have called Jasper Whitlock a Greek god, or better yet, an Angel.
A pitched breath escaped Leah's lips at that thought; she lay wide awake in bed with thoughts of a dead man plaguing her mind. She cupped a tanned hand over her mouth.
Leah hadn't spoken to him; she barely acknowledged his existence if staring contests in the woods didn't count. She hadn't considered that being in close proximity to Jasper could trigger the imprint to slowly ease her into acceptance.
She had been the only shifter to have this much control of it until now. Then there was what happened with Sam, Emily, and herself. The one she thought she would spend the rest of her life with- he had been the first to phase, and then they were never the same.
Since she had imprinted on Jasper, her heartbreak surrounding her ex-boyfriend and cousin had changed; the once agonizing ache she had grown accustomed to whenever she thought of that point in her life seemed to dull. It was one of the few things that had been welcoming.
A groan of frustration came from deep within her as she used the palm of her hand to brush away salty tears that had formed from the overwhelming changes that had been occurring in her life that seemingly had no end in sight.
Her father's passing remained the sick cherry on top of the entire year. They never thought it was possible for a woman to shift, after Sam left her for Emily, her body had begun to react to the proximity of the bloodsuckers, and she phased for the first time in her family home.
Seth had shifted soon after, and then Harry Clearwater was no longer with them. Her father had suffered a heart attack; then the only thing Leah knew was bereavement.
Almost all familiarity had been ripped away, torn into microscopic pieces, and set ablaze in front of her. She bore embitteredness in her very being.
The only thing I'll ever be able to bear.
Her thoughts paused abruptly at that. The legends she had grown up with had suggested that imprints were a result of the shift and were for reproductive purposes.
Leah's phasing had been a tragedy that caused the passing of her father, and then she was told the loss of ever having children of her own. They hadn't believed a female could shift or imprint, but she was living proof.
But Jasper Whitlock was a dead man walking. She rolled onto her side, curling into herself. It wasn't biologically achievable.
The breeze encouraged the damp leaves above to dance, the sound was soothing for Jasper as he stood anticipating the arrival of the Quileute woman.
From the amount of time she spent in this usual area, he assessed that she wasn't in college or working. There was the possibility she was enrolled in an online school, but they had only recently become more public.
Jasper had been around for over a century; he knew patience like the back of his hand, but the longer he waited with no sign of Leah even approaching, the southerner grew antsy.
He had taken a hobby of researching the werewolves, the legends, and if he was truly at a loss, he would telephone Seth Clearwater. Shifter imprinting had a tendency to affect the imprintee; whether this was the case with himself, he remained puzzled.
Vampires took mates; however, it wasn't a predestined thing until now that it was for him. Jasper had thought he knew with his whole unbeating heart that Alice was his one and only. She hadn't told him about the vision until the day of the newborn army arriving.
Alice had brought it up out of nowhere, insisting that he would be imprinted on by the only female shifter known to history, that it would teach him to control his thirst, and that they would have a life together. That the Cullens weren't Jasper's final destination.
He had tried to reason that her visions could be altered, that if they took another course, they could prevent that from ever happening. The pixie-like woman only shook her head.
When they had made it to the clearing, he felt the pull to her before their eyes had locked triggering the imprint to enact, and when that silver she-wolf craned her neck around.
Leah had shifted to her human body on account of the intensity that imprinting brought upon the werewolves. After that, the war was a blur, but a vague memory remained of the trepidation that swallowed him when she had been nearly caught by a straggler.
He shook the memories of the events that transpired up to now as hurried footsteps caught his attention. They weren't those of a shifted werewolf.
The mere sight of the young woman had been relieving in a way he hadn't thought he would feel, but that quickly washed away as a series of complicated emotions came from Leah.
Her dark eyes met his with determination. Each step closed the distance that she had created between them. She watched as he crossed his arms and used his back to push himself off the tree when she had walked past the far-off space she had thought was enough to satisfy her.
His ambery gaze dragged down her body before landing back on her face, she wore a loose sleeveless with jean shorts, no shoes.
Exhausted, her eyes begged to be shut, Leah wouldn't be surprised if she appeared disheveled, her shoulder-length black hair tusled, and she had thrown on whatever she first saw.
His rugged southern voice was what made her come to a halt in front of him at the treaty line, the small gap that kept them apart, that neither had attempted to cross. "Why are you avoiding me, Leah Clearwater?"
Her brows furrowed, her hands clenched into fists at her sides. Her emotional state was scattered and overwhelmed, and the first to come was her anger. "Your den of leeches did this to me and ruined my life! And then I had to imprint on one! I lost my father because of what I had become, my boyfriend to my best friend and cousin, and my little brother will never be a normal kid! "
Jasper found that he was struggling with himself to not sort her series of complicated emotions for her, she had to do this on her own. He knew in reality that was all that Leah had been in a desperate need of a breakdown.
"Why! Why, did I have to imprint on you!? My mortal enemy! I can't even have you. I haven't been the same since that day; I can't sleep at night at the thought of you, and I crave your attention like a preening bird. I'm losing this battle!" .Leah's tears came as if a dam had been demolished; her chest heaved violently, the choked sob that escaped her was drowned in agony, and the blonde man had unfolded his arms to allow her hands to beat at his solid chest.
He couldn't even feel the sloppy hits, yet he found that even if he could, he would have allowed her all the same.
Jasper cautiously brought his frigid hands to her arms, and her beating ceased on the statue of a man that was in front of her. "Leah, you have to quit fighting; it's not going away. We have to accept this for what it is."
The young woman slammed her fist into his chest with a wail as he simply watched and allowed her to crumble after seemingly carrying, so much sorrow for a time that must have felt like an eternity to her.
Eventually, Leah seemed to give in to the very human feeling of exhaustion, her body now being supported by him into an upright position with her forehead pressed against his shoulder.
His scarred hand caressed along her back with every sob that left her lips, while his other held the back of her head into the space between his neck and shoulder.
"Leah, why were you avoiding me?" .Jasper could understand the emotional turmoil that had led to her avoidance of him, but he wanted to know her reasoning.
A hitched breath and whimper muffled by the crook of his neck; her nose brushed against his cool skin when she pulled back to look at him face-to-face. Her glassy eyes, and weepiness added to her beauty in a way Jasper never would've thought possible.
"Because I can't have you. I have to force myself to stay away. I'm not good enough. I wasn't for Sam when he imprinted, and I'm not for a married leech." .Leah brought up a hand that had been clutching his sweater and wiped hopeless at her tears. She heaved a bitter laugh.
"Even though all I've wanted for the past month is to be held by you, I've needed to be held by you; I have to keep my distance." .The longer she dragged on her explanation, the more Jasper shook his head.
His chilling touch came to rest at the base of her neck, where his fingers carefully tilted her head. "I'm here now, Leah. You will never have to be alone again. I swear to you."
The she-wolf choked a cry as she stared into his soft ambery gaze. Leah's body felt lighter; she believed him when he told her he would be with her always.
With a slow pace, she leaned in and placed a soft peck on his lips. Leah shivered in surprise at how cold Jasper's body temperature truly ran, but it was soon forgotten as he reciprocated her advance.
A low chuckle came from the immortal man as when he pulled back from the shifter in his arms, she gave a whine of protest. Jasper pressed his forehead to Leah's with a true southern grin. "I'm your's, Leah."

Hi there! Not trying to be weird, but I saw you liked a comment I left on an Everthorne post where I mentioned I was gathering interest before setting up a Tumblr Community. I have, in fact, set up the community and would be happy to send you an invite if you're interested.
(No need to answer the ask publicly since it's more administrative than fun, but I generally avoid DMing people I don't know since that seems a bit intense.)
Suzanne Collins: I hate the Gale and Katniss romance so I will make sure no one ships them and that everyone ships her and Peeta and also that people dislike Gale
Being out in the woods again feels like a celebration.
Katniss doubts it has something to do with the fact that it’s her birthday, whatever Gale says. She doesn’t really mind though, she can be Birthday Catnip for a day, now that she can walk in her woods firmly and quickly again, and even run a few steps up to Gale and swat his arm for calling her that.
The day is bright and beautiful, as if nature wanted to make her happy too, or at least make up for the last inconvenience.
Gale’s been bringing in decent hauls from the snare line while she was recovering, but Katniss is more than eager to contribute her share again, and sets out along a new game trail in search of something to shoot.

for a long while now, i’ve been struggling with how to handle this. i promised that i would let everyone know if i ever intended to permanently retire this blog, as i know how it feels to get your hopes up for a blog to return only for it to never, and i didn’t want to cause that for anyone else. and i have always & still do intend to keep this promise, but my problem was in wrestling with my still present desire to continue this blog. i’ve never been certain in the decision to end it once and for all, but i’m also deeply aware of my lack of motivation/inspiration that i’d need to make a full return.
basically, i’m saying that i’m making this post for anyone who might be wondering where i’ve been/what’s the future for this blog. i’m sorry to say that i don’t know. i love this blog, i have so much love for everything to do with it & the people who have shared in its existence with me. but the overwhelming need to write (specifically for descendants, but also in general—i don’t remember the last time writing even the shortest story came easy to me like it used to) that i had early on is now only present in rare pangs, which is why i cannot promise a sustained return to this blog any time soon, or possibly ever, as much as it pains me to say. i may pop in once a year with a oneshot fuelled by a spark of motivation, the new descendants movie may inspire me more than i expect, or i may never post my writing here again. i’m sorry that i can’t offer you anything more concrete, but i hope you understand that, like most if not all others writers i’m sure, my relationship with writing can be very difficult & complicated.
i can give you one certainty: i will not be deleting anything, every fic will remain safely on my blog. and i am also not disappearing off the internet entirely. i still use my main blog that this side blog is connected to pretty regularly, and if anyone ever wants to chat about my writing or anything else my asks remain open.
thank you for everything :) the memories of this blog & the people around it mean more to me than you know.
How poetic is it that it's specifically False and Ren going into Hermit Takeover with the MCC crowns? Like, SPECIFICALLY these two. The first two Hermits to ever enter the MCC hall of fame, who proved that Hermits are more than just coin farms for the stronger players, who proved that Hermits and players like them CAN WIN MCC if they're just given the chance. And they're the ones going into the Hermitcraft MCC with the crowns
