But I am learning that perfection isn't what matters. In fact, it's the very thing that can destroy you if you let it.

I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

Destiny, I feel, is also a relationship - a play between divine grace and willful self-effort.

Something Blue “A heart-warming read”
I watched the movie Something Borrowed years ago. I got the ebook and finished it right away. If you're a Giffin fan, I bet we agree that the character Darcy deserved her fate at the end of the story. Case closed. The character Rachel won my sympathy! I told myself upon knowing about Something Blue that I'm not gonna enjoy it because it was told in Darcy's point of view. Ms. Giffin's gifted writing not only proved me wrong but convinced me that I actually love her second novel in a different level. Don't get me wrong, I love Something Borrowed both the book and the movie but Something Blue was really something! I can't believe I can identify with Darcy's character . Even now, writing this, I feel the warmth upon recalling the plot. The story picked up at the end of Something Borrowed set in Manhattan and then brings you to London. Ms. Giffin's writing was superb, her characters alive, the dialogues true. I was flipping the pages faster than usual excited for the story to unfold. I never cried for a long time reading a novel but I got a good cry with Something Blue. It was poignant, funny, and entertaining--cute even! Do I recommend it? Absolutely!
