thank you for asking - because chapter 31 has been a real struggle.

let me complain for a moment: to my great dismay, I broke my pinky last week. this might sound like the world’s tiniest, most unserious injury, and yet here I am, humbled by the weakest finger on the human hand. i never thought a broken pinky would limit me this much, but unfortunately it makes writing on a keyboard difficult.

i was planning to publish chapter 31 on saturday, but alas, it was not ready yet. hoping to get it out today. <33

Thanks for the tag @orange-peony! I’m also working on my COBB. It’s … okay, I think it’s funny, but it’s also dark, and it’s super plotty in all the ways I struggle. Still, I’ve been having a fun time with it, even if I’m pretty sure it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever written.

I furrow my brows and stare at Baz. His face has gone as blank as a fresh notebook. Or like a computer trying to restart, throbber spinning, every single processor engaged in trying to solve an impossible equation.

“That’s … your plan,” he says, slowly. “Marry me, fuck me, and then, instead of a honeymoon, we kill the Mage.”

“Well, that could count as our honeymoon,” I suggest. “Couples that kill together … stay together?”

Or something.

I’m an orphan; in what world would I be an expert on successful marriages?

“We can get divorced after,” I reassure him. “Just not annulled.”

“Because of the sex.”

“Because of the sex,” I agree.

i love this questioooon! i don’t want to spoil too much of what i have planned, but i can say this: it won’t focus on Artemis II, though it will be mentioned. the plan is to focus more on Expeditions 59, 60, and 61 — and perhaps Dragon 1.

timeline-wise, it might sound a little messy right now, but i promise it’ll make sense when the time comes 🤭
