Testing Testing 1, 2, 3!
I’m here to test out tumblr (again) and see if I want to be on here.
If this time it doesn’t stick—I’ll simply delete the whole account.
BUT I will give it at least—a full moth try out….so till the end of October (I guess).
Just really don’t want this to feel like work, it’s supposed to be fun!

Honestly, I gave this a try because of tiktok. And I must say—I am not disappointed. The art work is lovely, the monsters are super cool, the world is original and has me asking so many questions, while the characters are lovable and learning/growing before our eyes.

If you are looking for a quick insta-love read, where the characters meet and become better people thanks to one another, with a side of sexy library shenanigans, and a plot that is moved along by stupid (literally) lesbian drama, you will love this.
And if I had to make a complaint (or two), it would be that this is unnecessarily angsty, and the “mystery” of who-did-it is so bla and so neatly tidied up that—it was rendered pointless by the end of the story.

Book 2 in the Saving Askara series and still just as good as the first! Shorter, but just as good. Glad that we clearly will get to see this couple more in later books from time to time, (as it is heavily implied), and can not wait for all thee other books of the other fantastic aliens we meet in book 1 to be released so I can gobble them all up like Aderus and his—super nasty alien food. (if you know you know)
Side Note: so happy this book didn’t take the direction I thought it would with Earth’s leaders. Legit so tired of dumb fucks as leaders...in my stories...lol

Such a good read!
The characters were really fantastic, and their progress with one another was fascinating to watch unfold, and I have to say, the world building was seriously on point for this first book. Loved that we got to know the characters first as individuals, then as partners trying to work with each other, and then towards the end, lovers. Truly great and the fact that the aliens were really quite alien was—again so good. (lol no other word really to describe how—fun this book was to read)

Kind of wish there was more--talking...more communication. It didn't feel as though they talked a lot of the issues they had out, it was all either just assumed or certain things that bothered them were never brought up after it was made clear that it was bothering the other. Also, this next part I want to bring up is a

The surprise baby at the end. Yes it's great that they both ended up wanting it and ending up together, but--idk. I just don't like babies in my stories. Especially surprise babies, and why is abortion never an option? And it feels cheap using a baby to bring our main characters together and to basically make sure that they stay together, cause otherwise they aren’t trustworthy enough to stay together long term (on their own), without something forcing them to have to.

Before going into this book, know that Ice is pretty misogynistic, head strong, vulgar, and unmoving(ish) in his beliefs of how the world works, before meeting his lady. So be warned, it will be a journey of self discovery and figuring each other out, as well as Ice pulling his head out of his ass. But if you know exactly what you are getting into before going into this book, you will greatly enjoy it. Cause past all the macho-ness and BS that is Ice and his Club, they are pretty a-ok guys, and too many of the characters are actually like-able. #damnit

I actually really enjoyed this book, which is surprising, seeing as I don’t usually like mega alpha dudes or shifters. But Marsh did a grand job of balancing out Jace Jones’ personality and making him not only believable, but like-able, which also goes for narrator Levine who helped bring the character from paper to what felt like real life. Especially with that laugh/chuckle, which for some reason also made me laugh. And then there is deWard who breathed life into our quiet heroin, giving her a reserve and inner strength that only a woman who has been through hell and back could have. I truly appreciated her voice to the character. That aside, my favorite part about this entire book was the fact that it’s shifters who are bikers, AND the great cunninglingus! LOL

My review is this: if you like pushy alpha males who don’t get their way cause the heroin refuses to listen and does her own thing, and both have dark childhood pasts, you’ll like this book.
That’s it.

Oh and the narrator is so good, she made me snort laugh quite a few times with just the way she said things. Really liked her voice.

Ok! I admit it! I’m a HUGE Wylde fan now! She’s won me over with her fab writing and her deliciously annoying characters who I love to love!
UGH
Even though this specific book had really nothing Big to do with the Reapers, it was still such a captivating story that simply sucks you right in and refuses to let go.
Love this world that she has built and will now be moving onto—The Federation series.
fmI need more of the Reaper’s World. LIKE LEGIT need more of this world, the characters, and those good hot times. *chef’s kiss* Her characters are always so realistic, I forget that they are not actually real, that’s how great her writing is, to me.

***SPOILERS***
It was—fast paced, and with most alien books, there was a “surprise” baby that is revealed in the middle or towards the end of the book. *sigh*
idk guess I was just—expecting more. I like the writing, and I really want to like this author, just—this is clearly not going to be the series for me. I’ll come back to this author once I forget this book, and try a completely different series/book.

Listened to the audiobook! As should you!
Character growth is key for any book I read/listen to! And I love that Candy grew and became somewhat aware that maybe fetishizing people, real people, was not the best thing (thank the gods she realized this), and that Joel finally got over himself and what others think of him being “gay” aka bisexual, and I'm not super sure about Jet, but in the end he got what he always wanted, a family.
So you know, maybe I teared up a bit towards the end, and maybe I liked the voice actors, but I'm not giving a definite answer.
They don't need to know that I think they all did a fantastic job. ;}
There you go, that's my "review". lol
are you telling me i need to buy a suscription to a stupid platform to watch my soft hot romance stories?
….yes.
