Will you save me from these voices in my head?

My relationship with myself is so complicated, but I'll go into more detail about that on my blog 

A young man approached me with a sketchbook and asked if I’d be willing to draw a little something in 5–10 minutes. To be honest, my first thoughts were an intense wave of anxiety. I’ve always loved art, but my relationship with it is very complicated and has turned my world upside down many times. So I said yes despite my anxious thoughts. After finding some inspiration on Pinterest that I felt connected to (because I can’t draw unless the subject inspires me and fills me with a sense of fulfillment), I got to work. The young man came back a few minutes later, and to be honest, it obviously wasn’t my best drawing, but taking on the challenge made me feel somewhat proud of myself—for stepping out of my comfort zone and accepting the imperfection of my work.
