Something that is improbable is not necessarily impossible.

Keep to your dreams and keep hope alive that one day, they may actually become your reality.

Dreams may come true.

There are few things more frightening than to hear the “C” word. A dear friend & co-worker had to hear this word a week ago and it will now be part of her vocabulary for the rest of her life. They found it by chance they told her. Don’t worry they said, it is in the very early stages. Surgery will be necessary. Life changing surgery. I feel a twinge of guilt for being grateful it is not me. But a deep sadness that one so young, the same age as my youngest brother, faces this challenge. Too many people I know have had to face this. Some are survivors and some were not. All of them brave in the face of the C, facing it head on and battling the monster with every part of their being. My friend’s chances are good at this point. Oncology will be a familiar word for her now.

I now can only hope and pray that all will go well for her.

Life is not always fair.

Damn the C.
