It feels like the march wrap up was a lifetime ago!! Anyways, let’s hop into it:)

1. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black // three stars.

This book was pretty much average. I enjoyed reading some parts of it but throughout most of the book, nothing happened. I only liked two characters, Jude and Vivi, and the rest of the characters were pretty forgettable apart from two or three. The book isn’t even really heavily based around the cruel prince until the last 80 pages or so. However, I thought this world was really interesting to read about and I’m considering reading the second book. Holly Black’s writing style is very beautiful as well!

2. One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus // four stars. 

First off, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading this book. It was great. It would have been five stars if there was just... a little more. Something was missing from it. But I loved three out of the four main characters and loved the character development from one particular character. The style was easy to follow and I just really enjoyed this book. I recommend if you just need a contemporary murder mystery!!

3. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han // five stars.

I zoomed through this one! It was so good! I loved it from the first page to the last. There’s something about dramatic romances that just get me hooked. It was great, I loved to hate Peter Kavinsky. I loved to love Lara-Jean. I loved Josh. Josh deserves better. It was just an overall happy experience and made me feel happy when I finished reading it.

4. Zac and Mia by A.j Betts // three stars

Hello bookish friends! This is my first bookish post and i’m very excited to start this blog. I don’t know how often I’ll post on here but i’ll try! Just a few facts about me before we get started, I’m currently in year 11 which, according to my cousin, is the hardest year os schooling down here in Australia so I’m always busy and don’t have much time to read anymore </3. But i did end up reading three books this month which is great considering I’m a slow reader and I had zero time to myself. Anyways, enough about me, let get into the books!

1. The Death Cure by James Dashner

Now, if you know me you would know that I have an obsession with the maze runner movies and cast. It’s my favourite thing in the whole entire world. It’s a shame that I don’t enjoy the books as much as the movies. I am not the biggest fan of Dashner’s writing but I really wanted to read the books. This one I felt was slow and kind of didn’t follow a plot. Well, for most of it. The last 100 pages were great and I really enjoyed them but the first couple were slow and uneventful. It was a good exprience though and of course, I cried like a baby. Also, spoiler but trenda were endgame in my books and that makes me very happy. (not happy about minewt not being endgame though). Three Stars. 

2. In The Afterlight by Alexandra Bracken

This is the last book in the darkest minds trilogy and it was such a bittersweet experience since it’s my favorite series. The book is my favourite book in the series. A lot say it was a slow start but I adored the beginning as I have such a deep love for the characters (hence my user hehe) and seeing the relationships was such a great experience. The build-up was great too, I loved seeing the plan develop. Also, before this book, I did not like Ruby at all but I’ve decided now that she’s my baby. </3 The ending was so cute too, and maybe I cried once of twice reading this book. Five Stars.

3. Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon

This was a re-read for me, I was starting to get really stressed out and needed a read that I knew I loved to fill in my spare time. It was the first time I annotated while reading (highlighting my favourite quotes and writing a few comments in pencil). I will always love the structure and Nicola’s style in this book. Also side-note, I love Olly and Maddy both as characters and a ship. That doesn’t happen often. Five Stars.
