Kiss Kiss fall in love!

Years after the meme Go for it Nakamura was alive, I finally made a go at it myself. With my OC Rusty, and my partners OC Alice. They belong in the Tangled the Series Universe.

(Yes the figures are almost 1 to 1 with the original because I traced the figures to get them right, then changed accordingly as needed. I wanted to do the main cover really but couldn't get it right.

Only now, I realize there are templates and bases for it haha.)

I worked on the design digitally and then I had plans to paint it with watercolor and embellish it with goldleafing, but I couldn't get it as I wanted it to.

Then I had the idea of making it on a wooden block, burn in the design, and the idea was to cover it with resin so it could also be used as a snacktray or something...but the wood sucked up all the resin into it, except where I had burned and painted it so...

Well it came out as a pretty decorative piece anyway.

During New Years, I locked in and sat down drawing myself a new profile picture, or rather, I found an old inked sketched that I felt it was time to digitize.

In the second image is an compilation of a few illustrated 'self-portraits' I've done through the years, the first one is from 2021.

I still, to this day, I still try to nail down the artstyle of Tangled the Series, and in theory, I know how it's done, and how it's supposed to look, but to actually make it it is harder for me. It seems.liek, whenever I create something, especially digitally, I can decide to go for one style, then sometime through it, I change the course and do anither type of artstyle, mixing the 2 together, sometimes it comes out good, sometimes it doesn't.

I got a little bored/annoyed during the rendering process. Mostly annoyed at myself for not sticking to one style/plan.

Then the program froze up in certain things (couldn't draw and couldn't go back to Gallery) and I hadn't saved or idk if Procreate saves automatically, so I hit the Share button, which worked and saved it to my cloud.

It doesn't look half bad honesrly, bit not fully finished. (Self-critic)

I saw a TT of how to draw a locket, to use for cute patrerns and such, and wanted to tey it myself, except my mind went off on it's own after like Step 2 and when I had the locket done, I wanted to play around and fill the inside. but didn't know with what...

But since I have this old artwork of Kiran and Varian, which still is unfinished since March(!), I decided to put my boys into it, and THEN, I started to fiddle with different filters to make the pictures look old (I didn't want to go full Sepia because I didn't want to loose all the colors)

Then I added some shine to make it look like there is glass in it, and also scratches on the locket and stuff.

And you know what? It came out pretty neat.

A Sky-Fanart I did for fun and in small sessions because of my hands hurting.

I made up the braid hairstyle just a few days before Beta-dropped that we will be getting a braid in Days of Bloom!

Also the dress is just my own design.

BG is a mix of study the game and making it up on my own.

Anyway, this painting here is a Mixed Media I made for a local gallery where each citizen in the community that is over 18 years old could have 1 artpiece shown.

I had months to create somthing and still ended up pulling an allnighter.

The initial idea was a full watercolor illustration but I had to simplify it and instead I made a digital watercolor, printed it on watercolorpaper and then added shimmer and shibäne with stellar watercolors from lisilinka.com

But I forgot to take a proper picture of the finished framed painting..

I will do that on the exhibition day.

The quote and title is something I said to my friend years ago and we still laugh about it.

During the song Listen up! the Captain is afraid he is too Rusty to sing, to which Shorty says; Your name ain't rusty, it's Captain"

And thus I named my OC Rusty. So a fake screencap could be like;

Shorty; "Your name ain't Rusty. It's his."

Then pointing to my guy in the background, who suddenly halts in what he was doing.

Now, this would require two things; A slight re-write of the episode, preferably then from Rusty's pov, and would need to change the timeline a bit, since Rusty isn't coming to Corona until sometime after Varians attack.

This also served as a selfstudy-session in learning more of the Artstyle of Tts, using masks and clippings and drawing a full (well almost full) fugure, since I don't often do that.

And then my idea was to draw in a silhouette at the endscene, which would be looking suspiciouly like Rapunzel, but it's not, it's Alice Moonstone, Rusty's future girlfriend. She is modelled after Rapunzel (there is a reason I promise) but she has black hair instead of blonde.

I've been working so much in this one and it was meant to just be a quick thing.

Another Abstract minipainting I did using the new colors I bought recently, aswell as Rosa's Watercolor Cobalt Grey. I'm not generally an abstract artist but when you don't know what to do, it's nice to let the water and paint do most of the work.

The framed one I also made with Indanthrone and I believe thst I mixed that with some Permanent Green for the forest area.

I got two new Daniel Smith Watercolors this weekend and tested them out on wet on wet and let the paint and wter basically do it's thing on it's own. Once dried I tried to make a castle in the background on one of them, I just don't like how the castle came out (too thickly made tower for example, should have been made smaller)
