There is something so painful about always remembering smaller details about others but that same energy never being reciprocated. Never being part of a group or setting, never knowing why you’re being left out. Being kind to others and them not returning that same kindness… it’s truly exhausting.

It’s not often at my age that i’m laying on my mom’s lap, but when i do, and close my eyes, i’m suddenly 10 again. Resting my head on her lap in the backseat of my dad’s car, driving through france on our way to our vacation destination. And when i open my eyes again, i’m met with a bittersweet feeling, knowing that aging is a privilege but also realising that i’ll never be 10 again, resting my head on my mom’s lap.

Just a place to share thoughts and feelings, for those who go through the same… it’s really just a safe haven from reality, or an escape from reality i should say lol
