Paige @pdmarovich snapped a quick picture of one of the flags @forstallart who does my framing for this side of country & for this show. “Le Vent Nous Portera” (“The Wind Will Carry Us”) A mixed media sculptural collage made for the upcoming summer solo show in Cape Cod, MASS hosted by Ken Fulk’s Provincetown Arts Society at the Mary Heaton Vorse House in Provincetown. - This show has some nautical undertones- homage to the pilgrims that discovered Ptown, to the sailors and fishermen, and to the renegades that once brought life to this sliver of sand called Provincetown. It explores the ideas of what they might have discovered upon arrival, things they brought from their countries, and things they made during their journey. - About the title: As a kid, my parents put me in French classes from the time I was four, I grew up learning French and practicing with our French exchange students that we hosted when I was a child. I continued my study of the language through my teenage years and was pretty close to fluency in high school.
