andrei barely got a second to process the door opening before maggie was right there, right in front of him. not a facetime thing, not a voice note at 2 am or some random text. she was right there, standing in front of him in a cropped hoodie that showed just enough skin to make his brain short circuit, black leggings hugging her like they were designed specifically for her body, hair thrown up in a messy bun that somehow made her look even cuter. and the glasses? he was obsessed. "hey, my little koala!" he laughed, arms snapping around her as he caught her with ease, her weight settling against his chest. "can't believe i'm hearing you say yoshi in person." he said with a breathy laugh, shaking his head as if he couldn't believe this was actually happening. when he finally leaned back just enough to really look at her, his hands stayed at her waist, thumbs resting there. his eyes flicked over her slowly, face, glasses, hoodie, the way she was smiling up at him and his grin softened. "god, you're so fucking beautiful." his gaze met hers. "i'm really glad you believed me. i wasn't playing games with you, maggie. i didn't come all the way out here just to be some idea in your head." he gave her a smile. "kinda wanted to see how you'd look when you smiled at me like that." he squeezed her gently, forehead almost touching hers now. "i'm finally here. and i'm really, really glad you jumped on me first, made this a lot easier." andrei didn't let go of her, not when she wrapped herself around him, not when the door was still open, not even when his brain caught up enough to realize they were standing halfway in the doorway. if anything, he adjusted his grip, one arm sliding more securely under her thighs while the other stayed firm around her back, like this was the most natural thing in the world. "alright..." he murmured, laughing. "guess i'm just… coming in like this." he nudged the door shut behind them with his foot, clumsy but determined, never once setting her down. he took a few slow steps inside, careful but unbothered, carrying her like he'd been doing it for years instead of seconds.

When Andrei caught her, she just grinned when he called her his little koala, and she let out a laugh. "It feels good to call you Yoshi in person," Maggie stated honestly, just smiling at him as she clung onto him. When he pulled back to look at her, Maggie had to fight the urge to blush because she was not the type to blush—that's what she was telling herself anyway. But with the way that he was looking at her, it was kind of hard not to. Then he called her so beautiful, and that was what tipped her over a little, and her cheeks turned pink. "Shut up," she couldn't help but say, but her eyes were soft as she looked at him, and she knew that he would know she just couldn't think of what to say to his compliment. "And I'll admit that I was worried you were playing games a little; you're right. But I'm glad you're here, and I'm glad you want to be here, you know? Glad we can have this time together," she stated honestly, then let out a soft laugh at his next words and just smiled at him again. "You really wanted to see how I looked when I smiled at you? You're so cute; I hope you know that." And she clung onto him a little more, and she hummed in reply to his next words. "I'm just glad you're really here, and I couldn't help but jump on you, honestly. I just wanted to climb you right away for some reason," she teased. She let out a laugh when Andrei walked them through the door and didn't even attempt to put her down, and she didn't let him go or even attempt to get down because she liked having him hold her like this and liked being wrapped around him like this. "Guess so," she said as she squeezed her legs around him a little tighter as they walked through the door and he shut it behind him with his foot, and she wrapped her arms around his neck and just grinned at him. "You know, I do believe you were supposed to kiss me."

andrei had pictured his vacation as the laziest version of himself imaginable. in his head, he'd be glued to the couch, rotating between video games and naps, texting joe to come over, and ordering food every couple of hours like that was a fulltime job. he didn't want to think of football for a while, he wanted to be lazy, then he'd switch his brain back on and deal with work again later. that plan fell apart pretty quickly. ever since he'd started talking to maggie, she'd been telling him to come to los angeles and visit her. at first, he'd brushed it off, joking about how awful la traffic was and how he was supposed to be "on vacation". but jokes turned into late night facetimes, long voice notes, and conversations that lasted way past the point where either of them should've been awake. somewhere along the way, staying home started to feel more exhausting than getting on a plane. so now he was at lax. he stepped off the plane, grabbed his bag, and immediately noticed that he was right about los angeles, the noise, movement, people everywhere, all at once. he pulled his gray hoodie a little tighter around himself, black jeans and vans already feeling like the most effort he wanted to make today. headphones on, volume up, whatever song was playing doing its best to drown out los angeles entirely. he checked his phone for maggie's location before flagging down a cab, gave the driver the address, and then went quiet again. the closer they got, the more surreal it felt. a few minutes later, he paid the driver, stepped out of the car, and stood there for a second just looking at her place. he'd flown all the way from cincinnati to another city, another state, to meet a woman he'd never actually seen in person before. texting and facetiming every day had started to feel frustrating, almost pointless, when all he really wanted was to have her right there in front of him, to hear her laugh without a screen freezing, to see if everything felt the same in real life. he took a breath, picked up his small suitcase, and walked up to the door. andrei knocked. he set his bag down at his feet, shifted his weight, and waited. @lindemannmag

Maggie would admit that she was starting to wonder if Andrei was really going to come to LA and visit her, especially after they had been talking for a long time and it just felt right for them to meet. When you FaceTime with someone and share long voice notes and texts till all hours of the night, it just makes sense that you want to see that person in person, that you want to get to know them with them standing right in front of you. But then she started to wonder if he was just playing games with her. She'd been with athletes before and knew what kind of games they could play, and maybe that's what Andrei was doing as well. If that was what he was doing, then Maggie figured she'd live and learn, and that was that, but then he finally said he was coming to LA, and she believed him when he said that. She believed that he was coming and wanted to see the side of her she could be in person, and he'd also brought up wanting to kiss her, which she probably wasn't going to be against given how attracted she was to Andrei; she wasn't blind after all. So when she knew he was coming, Maggie made her house look presentable, because it had looked like a tornado had gone through it a little since she had been gaming for the last few days. Then when she knew he was landing soon, Maggie got in the shower and then got ready. She decided to put on a cropped Terrifier hoodie and a pair of black leggings that hugged every curve and tossed her hair up into a messy bun. She didn't feel like putting her contacts in, so she put on her glasses, and by the time she was done, there was a knock on the door, and Maggie couldn't help but smile. Maggie felt a little nervous knowing that she was getting to meet Andrei for the first time, but she pushed the nerves down and headed toward the front door and pulled it open, smiling as soon as her eyes landed on him. Maggie looked him up and down for a moment, taking in the fact that he was standing there and looking too damn good for his own good, before launching herself at him. "Yoshi!" As she wrapped herself around him like a koala, she grinned at him for being alert enough to catch her and let out a slight laugh. "I'm glad you're finally here."

Maggie had a lot going on because she was getting prepared for her tour, and she would admit that she was a little more tense than normal, a tension that she knew could be easily worked out by someone that knew her well enough in and out of the bedroom. So when Josh said he was coming to LA and he was coming to see her, she was happy for the fact because she'd been with him enough that he knew what she liked and knew what Maggie needed. They had had a good time on New Year's together; they'd shared a kiss at midnight, and the sex had been fantastic afterward. So, Maggie knew that Josh coming to see her would result in the same kind of night that New Year's had been, a night of good sex that would leave her feeling completely unwound, and that's what she needed. It was easy with Josh, because he didn't expect anything from her, didn't want her to commit to him, and didn't want any strings; he wasn't trying to tame her, and she liked that. They were good friends, the chemistry between them was hot, and they had fun, and Maggie liked that, so she always looked forward to when they saw each other. So when Josh told her he was finally in town and he was coming over, she had gotten in the shower, and when she got out, she had just put on an oversized shirt that she was pretty sure she had stolen from him when she was in Sydney. When the doorbell rang, she had just finished messing with her hair, and as she pulled open the door, her lips were curled into a smile as she looked at Josh standing there. She didn't miss the way his eyes raked over her, and she let out a laugh at his words. "You're just that lucky; I figured I shouldn't waste my time with too much clothing since we both know what you're here for," she teased. She smiled at the raised bag before nodding her head and pushing the door open further. "Come on in and get comfortable."
