Her mother would be a human from there and her father a wood Elf from Suldanesselar.

She became an apprentice to the nearby Druid circle in her late teens ~ early adulthood and stayed there as a member.

Meanwhile when her human mother died of old age her father returned to live in Suldanesselar.

She inherited of the house and retired there when she was older and retired from the circle. And then, she adopted Galathil.

Aniel father, for whom i have no name yet in mind, is an Elf from Suldanesselar.

Aniel’s parents met when Melusine got lost in the forest and wandered unknowingly in the elves territory. Aniel father was with the patrols. She stayed for a while with the Elves as they were making sure of her intentions, and they becam friends and fell in love around that time.

Aside from being an inherently delightful word, I do like that this is an aspect of elven culture that has persisted in the drow. I read once that sometimes cloaks of elvenkind could be given as a coming of age gift, and I wonder if it’s the same for drow receiving one of these when they come of age. (Was that mentioned in the Drizzt book? I couldn’t find it.)

Drizzt Would eventually be corrupted by it but would be able to carry it to Mordor to destroy it before that would happen. He would gain a few more traumas and friends along the way. Guen would help him keep him sane from the madness of the ring

Jarlaxle Would not be able to resist the power of the ring. Entreri would be able to convince him to destroy it on the grounds that he would agree become king of Gondor and would allow Jarlaxle to plan everything. It would last week before they realise he destroyed a replica and the whole argument starts again. Would die like Boromir but come back like Gandalf

Entreri The only one who can never be corrupted by the ring based on pure spite and strong sense of autonomy. The journey to destroy the ring would be long and annoying for him. He would be on the run from Jarlaxle who wants the ring and there will be many dragons to fight.

Gromph Corrupted by the ring almost immediately. Catti-brie has to trick him to a wedding over mount doom where she yeets him into the lava

Catti-Brie Would have a Galadriel moment but overall wouldn’t touch it

Regis Corrupted by the ring almost immediately. Entreri has to take another finger to get it off him and into mount doom. The exception to the halfling rule

Bruenor Doesn’t want to touch durned elf ring but would get into trouble finding Arkenstone that he has to be saved from.

Pwent He wants to use it to protect ‘mi king’ but the ring rejects him due to the lack of good hygiene. Makes gollum appear a pampered prince in comparison

Because I've seen it come up a few times, and for simplicities sake, I wanted to make a post about it. I know the Sellswords Trilogy is insanely popular, but there's three additional short stories that play inbetween Servant of the Shard and Promise of the Witch-King, and reading them adds a lot of context to what is happening in the story. so I wanted to link them for everyone who wants to read them.

-First. "That Curious Sword", is about the important encounter that would change Artemis' life going forward forever and how it went down.

-Second. "Empty Joys", is a fun story of what they were up to on their travels to the Bloodstone Lands.

-Third. "Wickless in the Nether", a fan-favourite story involving these two and how they became quasi-employed to Tazmikella and Ilnezhara in Heliogabalus.

Also related to Artemis is "The Third Level", which is also in the Collected Stories and tells a story of him in his early teenage years in Calimport.
