There's not much about their past yet but I like to think about the dichotomy of how Hemlock and Dex dealt with anger/trauma(?). Hemlock decided to do good (free subway for everyone) while Dex internalized everything and try to solve it by himself, bettering himself, pushing himself. Maybe Dex doesn't like Hemlock because he's not serious enough with his music and that in itself pissed Dex off? What if the court ordered therapist for Hemlock is just what he needed and he doesn't mind it?

Side note: I also like how they view Arora differently; Dex hates her because she's AI and I like to think that Hemlock is not fond of AI too but he realized the useful side of it (spelling in the subway is important) and decided to have some fun by corrupting the database(?) since he tried to make Arora say "Fuck" and a bunch of bad habits. It's so cute!!

HEMLOCK GETTING THERAPY IS SOO FUNNY TO ME BECAUSE I DON'T THINK HE IS AFRAID TO CONFESS ANYTHING ABOUT HIMSELF

Oh it's not the confessing part, I think the therapy is to teach him better coping mechanism. Bro's high constantly with that green stuff he probably has substance abuse

I also like how in Subway Asylum, Hemlock sings "Inhale. Exhale. Reset" THAT'S SO COOL OF HIM!! He's exercising what he learned in therapy I'm so happy for him uueueueuueueueueu

I feel bad for Dex because he definitely has some self destructive tendencies. He swore not to get body mods but did so anyway when he joined Harmony. Not saying body mod = self destruction, but what if he traded off his injured leg (he had to walk with a cane back then) if it meant he can perform better? He doesn't stand with his legs in the boss arena tho so I'm not sure how true that is. But when he's back on the stage in Encore, he still looked like he's in pain :')

Which brings me to the next part

If Harmony can provide the body mods, and they wanted Dex to play constantly, why not remove Dex's pain receptors? Why let him feel pain? If he doesn't feel pain, he could've played longer right? Or was pain the only thing that made Dex different from AI?
