Love, You Are Foolish

I’m not doing great. My husband says it’s only for a year but it’s only been one month and it feels like forever. I miss my friends and my park and my super market and my train station and my home in Korea :(( I don’t have a permanent place here so it’s been hard adjusting since I’m in the middle of nowhere. Not even good food :(((((

I miss the magpies and bulbuls.

Not my fault he was signed in to all the devices when his unemployed wife has nothing but time.

Anyway happy new year lol

Even tho country is small, driving from Busan back to Seoul is exhausting. Stopped in the middle of nowhere for snacks and view after some rainstorms. While sitting, some random couple in their twenties came up to me and said, “ever had a Korean donut?” I have, but not one shaped like fish, so of course I accepted. Thousand year old temple in the canyon below :’)

Not much going on my life but I did go to Lotte’s Pokemon event haha

Lil backstory. When my now husband and I were first dating, cows and rabbits kind of became our mascots because of how often we saw them when we were together traveling to see each other. So both of those animals are sacred to us.

We try to go to bunny island as much as possible. This year, my husband took me for Valentine’s Day and it felt very…empty? There were these little dens in the hills that baby bunnies would come out of for food that we joked were the “caves of knowledge” because you had to answer king bunny’s riddles (king bunny was a lil rabbit who hung out at the entrance lol). But going back this week, there were no bunnies there. We met a local friend who also goes to the bunny island frequently and he informed us that a man was arrested in January for kicking a bunny but is linked to nearly 100 rabbit deaths. I’m so devastated…those little bunnies in their cave of knowledge :( I wondered why the daffodils that bloomed were uneaten :/

Police now patrol the island (it is very small so no police before) but it is very upsetting. I’ve been bummed all week after learning about this.

I will share pics of friends I got this trip because even though such a horrible thing has happened, there are still many in good health and being quite cute.

I had a dream I met Jerma and was like djjdjdjd “ok but do you know charborg?”

I woke up and started laughing and had to confess to my husband how ridiculous the dream was.
