FAQ:

How do I adopt a limbus? Though adoption processes may vary by shelter, generally an application form, interview, and a monetary fee are required. Some shelters may additionally require references, a home visit, and other precautionary measures.

Why are breeder limbi listed? Though the moderator prefers an adopt-don't-shop mentality, many of the limbi at shelters have needs which the average keeper cannot provide for. The breeders whose limbi are listed here have been screened for ethical breeding practices and are exclusively small businesses.

Can I offer my limbus up for adoption? Yes, providing there is available space. Please provide vet records for ease of processing, and a listing may be posted.

I must confess that I have been rather busy as of late. During my sabbatical, I was uncharacteristically swamped with requests pertaining to work, the results of which should be coming to fruition soon.

My rather hasty return has been, in part, due to a scarcity in administrative staff at the various shelters I network with. As such, I will be taking on a few of their duties - up to and including the vetting of potential adopters.

Species: Ryoshu

Breed: R.B.

Description: Nicknamed "Gerry" by shelter staff, this limbus has a certain zest for life that other limbi are hard-pressed to match. As such, protective gear is recommended while making initial impressions.

Care Information: Due to a voracious appetite and exploratory demeanour, Gerry's teeth regularly sustain a degree of damage that surpasses her body's ability to replace them. We are currently workshopping a dental care regimen that will both keep her happy and dissuade her from "gerrymandering" our furniture.

Species: Meursault

Breed: Liu

Description: A rather diligent and scrupulous limbus, this Meursault is a natural(though unintentional) leader. Has a strange habit of refusing to switch to new toys, equipment, etc until the previous one is broken.

Care Information: As with most Meursault, Download Speed seems rather low-maintenance; however, he vastly prefers environments where he can choose to interact with other limbi.

It is my pleasure to inform you that we have a variety of limbi that may be suitable as a companion for your Cinq Don, but the choices vary based on the type of limbus you're interested in adopting. The following suggestions are made with the assumption that this is your first time caring for limbi:

If you're looking for another Don, Pequena is available for adoption and shares many of the same care requirements.

If you're looking for a calmer limbus to temper your Don's energy, Gunch would be a good fit and also benefits from having other limbi around.

If you intend on nurturing your Don's combative side, BLT may make for a good sparring companion, as would most of our Ryoshu listings if you are willing or able to handle a Ryoshu.

It certainly feels good to know that there are people out there who do their due diligence in regards to the care of their limbi.

While we are currently keeping a Sinclair(and The Blue Thing is, well, around), I cannot in good conscience ask shelter staff to perform an interview or home survey while a limbus with aggressive behavioural issues is present.

That said, in the event that you are able to corral String Cheese for an extended period of time, I may be able to find an open spot in my schedule to carry these checks out myself.

I regret to inform you that while our shelters may house retired service limbi, we are not in the business of training them or issuing registration. However, if you would like to train a shelter limbus, I would be glad to direct you to limbi with fitting temperaments or high receptivity to training.
