My new response pads came in the mail so my yoyo is usable again.
To celebrate, here's a new trick I'm learning called the Gyroscopic Flop:
It can be set up in a bunch of ways but the easiest is through Plastic Whip, I'm told. Hence why I'm working on it this way.
It's hard to do it consistently without killing your spin. You can see that the yoyo cames back pretty slowly here, which is cause there's a lot of friction between the string and the yoyo during the whole process.
It's a real balancing act to push the string against the yoyo with enough force to rotate it, but not to strongly to make it stop spinning.
I think I'm starting to get a feel for it, but I still need to improve a lot.
