Idk it really bothers me when people make a stink about whether a fictional character can consent instead of actual world issues. They are not the same thing, there's not some secret slippery slope from finding Prototype Poppy Playtime hot to actual abuse. Those are two different sentences what are you talking about???

Sometimes people get too caught up in the ethics of wildly fictional scenarios. It's fine if some ideas squick you (general you) out personally but you need to understand that's your own thing to deal with. (And blocking people and moving on is a valid way to "deal with" it, to be clearly. Harassing is not.)

Like what legal rights and protections would we owe someone who was turned into a toy as a child, lived another 10-20 years, then made their way out into the real world? What level of autonomy should the be entrusted with? How do we gauge if they're ready to integrate into society as their own fully independent person?

Fuck man, I dunno. But we don't NEED to know because that's not a thing that will actually happen. It's a fun thought exercise (if morbid, lol) but our opinions on it are never going to result in an actual human being having a worse life. So no need to send KYS messages over it.

For the sake of my writing, I think someone who has existed for 20+ years, has led societies and uprisings, taken care of themselves and others for at least a decade...and in Prototype's case, understands biology and neuroscience well enough that he's coming close to reversing death (it sounds like he hasn't had a completely successful experiment on his own yet but I could be wrong there).
