Day 144 and I'm feeling super good today. Switched to injections two weeks ago and I'm slightly less depressed overall and the difference between when I look in the mirror now and 6 months ago is so huge. The greatest decision I've ever made in my life was starting HRT when I did. I wish I had started sooner, of course, but that's just how life goes. Seeing Against Me! tomorrow for the second time this year and I'm so excited. Week 21 is going very well.

I was so concerned about my levels the last few months. My second lab had me under the goal for estrogen and I didn't feel okay with that. After my doctor upped my dose for the last 3 months I jumped from 135 to 480! Near the upper end of the goal range. This could explain the consistency with which I've been sobbing by face off. I love it. Spent the last week and a half in TransHouse Chicago. Surrounded by girls I've grown to just fucking love. I had to move into my own place today. It's a much colder place. Emotionally and literally. The heat doesn't work. It is 58 degrees in there. So, I'm spending the night at a diner. Thank FUCK for 24 hour diners. This completes week 19 of HRT. I felt really cute most of the time and made some plans for my future. It was a good week.

I posted this in January 2014 and, since then, so much has happened. Feminism has exploded and seems to be on the tips of so many tongues. It’s becoming more and more apparent that men are consistent aggressors towards women. The burden of responsibility is on men to change their behavior, not for us to change ours. We are not the aggressors. Prior to the conversation shown in the screenshots, I had explained to him several times that I wasn’t interested in dating him but would be okay with being friends, and he took that to mean **compliment her every day, bombard her with texts and calls and, even though she’s clearly not responding positively, try to convince her that her feelings are wrong and neg her into submission.**As stated in the initial post, he proceeded to call me a “whore” afterwards because he was butthurt I didn’t “want to hang out with a nice guy” like him. Because by not hanging out with a “nice guy” like him, it meant I was fucking around with assholes or men who would treat me badly. Sound familiar? Sounds kind of like Elliot Rodger. This is why I need feminism. This is why I’m reblogging.

Yo, there needs to be a 'Gone Girl' parody video in which a black husband finds his white wife missing with blood around. He calls the police. They come, shoot him.
