I don’t disagree with you, but for some reason I don’t remember actually posting pictures of my beautiful fur babies…. Seems like a situation that needs to be rectified in my opinion so let’s go.

First we have Chica (aka. Chica Baby, Cheeky, Cheeky Weeky, Cheeky Weekums, Barky Dog, etc.) who was the first doggo of our currently motley crew. She was a “rescue” in the sense that my grandfather used to raise beagles for hunting and she was born without a functioning ball-and-socket joint in one of her back legs so she could barely run let alone chase rabbits so when I asked, my grandfather let us have her. This was probably… six years ago? I don’t remember, I was small. Anyway, this is Chica:

She had to wear this cone for a few days this year and it was ADORABLE but she was NOT happy about it, as you can see… 

She’s our stubborn little old lady.

The dog we got after her, Juli, (aka. Juwi, Juli Platypus, Juli-potomus, Shoe dog, Honky Dog, etc.) is actually her biological sister - from the same litter as Chica and everything - and we got her a few weeks or so after we received Chica because she had allergies that kept her from smelling well so she straight up did NOT want to chase rabbits. Which worked out fine for us.

I feel like some of her nicknames need clarification. Because of her aforementioned allergies she sneezes alot and idk if you knew this but since dogs have such long noses they actually can’t one and done aCHOO it so she’ll sit there for a few seconds and snort/sneeze and it’s… it’s adorable. But it also sounds like a goose. Ergo, Honky Dog. She also likes to carry around AND HIDE shoes so if ever you’ve lost a shoe at my house, chances are it’s in one of her “hiding places”. Ergo, Shoe Dog.

She’s also hella relatable. Look at that face. She’s our grumpy old lady.

Both of our beagles are low key terrified of thunder storms so whenever one comes around they immediately need to become puppy blanket burritos on the nearest hooman’s lap. 

They’re very sleepy and warm post-burrito. It’s pretty great.

And then there’s the baby!!! Pepper (aka. Bepper, Pebber, Pep Pep, Pep Pep Pachu, Pepper the Peeper Pooper Pupper, Crazy Dog, Baby Deer, etc.) showed up on July 4th last year, the day after my sister @lily-greene‘s birthday so he was her (semi-unwanted) present from the universe. We’re pretty sure he was abandoned, since he came to us covered in fleas and ticks and he had major abandonment issues for the first few weeks. Wouldn’t go to sleep unless there was a person there.Would whine if he woke up and there wasn’t a person there. That first evening I came home from work and they were de-ticking him in the living room floor with honey and cinnamon. It was weird.  

Better yet. He’s weird. Lookit him stuck in the dryer because he tried to get to the cat’s food. Always so silly. Barely knows how to Dog properly.

Pepper, you can’t just paint the floors like that without running the color by us first, you silly dog!

But now he’s a BIG boy. Roughly 45 pounds which is a lot when our old ladies only clock in at about 23 pounds each. He’s not just big though, he’s LONG. Twice as long as our old ladies. Twice as tall. His tail was bobbed when we found him, though, so that’s pretty short but what he lacks in length he makes up for in pure enthusiasm!

Look at him! We like to joke that he’s half deer because of how lanky he is. He’s so big compared to baby Cheeky!

So sweet. 

I wanna gush over our baby Pi (aka. Pi-Pi, Pea, Baby, Mommy’s Baby, etc.) but I feel like I’ve gushed enough, and she’s pretty much pure black so I don’t really have a lot of good pictures of her but these two are my all time favorites because this is straight up the dichotomy of this kitty.

So soft, so pure, so noble. A true lady of the dark shadows and all things that go Mew in the night.

And YET…

So vicious. Ready to go. Ready to play. Turn on the laser light hooman, it’s time to have some FUN!

Keith Birthday Week Day 1: Friends

“Are you guys playing GoFish?” Masaomi asks incredulously, after strolling into their break room.He pulls up a chair and sits next to Youji, and stares at the rest of thesoldiers in a moderately baffled way. “How incredibly wholesome of you all.”

“We can’t play poker,Youji cheats,” Michiru explains.

“I can’t help it,” Youji says meekly, “It’s a self-defense thing after years ofplaying with this guy, who is the ultimate cheater.” He jerks his thumb atMasaomi.

“Oh, that’s bullshit,”Masaomi says.

“You don’t cheat atpoker?” Sayuri asks.

“Of course I do.Although, I can’t help it if I have an eidetic memory. It’s actually more workfor me not to count the cards. But I refuse to take responsibility forthis man’s delinquency; he was cheating way before we met. He wiped the floorwith me on our first game. First time that ever happened.”

“You were such an easymark,” Youji says fondly. “Michiru, do you have any fives?”

“No. Go fish,” Michirusays.

Youji stares at her.“I know you have fives, because you asked Sayuri last round if she had any fives,and also, there aren’t that many cards left in the game.”

“No, I have no fives,”Michiru says. Youji is on his last card, so it’s easy to understand where herreluctance is coming from.

“Give me your five,Michiru.”

Michiru stuffs hercards down her shirt. “What cards? I have no cards.”

“Do you think puttingthe cards down your bra is really going to stop me from getting them?”

“Here? In front of myyoung, impressionable niece? Who is also your subordinate? You wouldn’t dare.”

Sayuri snickers. “Yes,Sergeant. You wouldn’t want to set the wrong example, would you? I might takeany excuse I can get to grab at bras.”

“Well, this game gotdecidedly less wholesome,” Masaomi says mildly. “Also, you do know he cheats bydealing, right? So all things considered, he’s probably cheating at Go Fish.”

“What?” Michiru yelps.“Is that why you’ve won the last three rounds?”

“Thanks, Masa-chan,”Youji says, rolling his eyes, “I did not cheat in this game, I wasn’t evendealing, remember? You guys just suck at this. Also I feel the need to pointout, I am not the one shoving cards down my bra.”

“I am clearly notplaying this game right,” Sayuri says.

“If you’re not smartenough to cheat you’re not smart enough to play,” Masaomi says brightly. “Getthe cards out of your bra, woman, and deal me in.”

“I am not playingcards with you, Masaomi,” Michiru says.

“We can play CrazyEights,” Masaomi says. “Wholesome-like.”

except this one time when Bell’s dad Maurice had just escaped the wolves at the beginning of the show and Lumière and the other furniture sat him down and welcomed him and they wheeled me over in my cart to give him a cup of tea and idk WHY bc we’d done this scene 1 million times before but I wasn’t mic’d and when Maurice  took a “sip” out of what was literally my head I quietly gurgled “aeEEEeeee my brains”

Okay Clearly something is up.

I saw a post about “Please stop hitting on women while they’re at work” and I 100% agree with it, which is why I’m making a separate post to say please don’t hit on people in general when they’re at work.

I work at a bakery and we have this sweet 16 about to turn 17 year old boy who works up front of our store. He used to work at the place next door to us and, while he was there, a girl he was working with developed a bit of a crush on him and asked him out.

He said no, that he has a girlfriend (which she already knew) and thought they could just continue on being friends and coworkers.

Since beginning work at our bakery she stops in every single day and talks to him for the entirety of her 30 minute long break. He has told her multiple times that he’s at work and can’t stand around and talk and when I asked him if he was uncomfortable his response was a very relieved “Oh, God, yes.” 

He’s tried to talk to one of the owners about it and his response was “You can talk to her after work” not realizing this poor boy is being made incredibly uncomfortable on a daily basis in the work place. 

When we told him he could come into the back to find something to do if he needed to he was so incredibly thankful and relieved. This girl spent twenty minutes standing up front waiting for him to come back after he said he had to go do something. Twenty minutes in the front of the store ever after being told he can’t talk to her. He doesn’t know what would happen if he says that he doesn’t want to talk to her and is genuinely nervous every time she walks in.

The only reprieve he gets is from the bakers in the back saying “I get it. Come back here” because the Owners don’t understand that he, a male coworker, can be made uncomfortable by these unwanted advancements being made toward him. 

Please.

This post isn’t made to undersell not hitting on women while they’re at work. I get that and that’s why this separate post exists.
