Female - Level 20

Upon realizing that they never adopted Penelope the Eckarts begin frantically searching for her joined by the Crown Prince and Vinter. However, since it has been nearly six years by then, they have no leads. When they ask around the town about the duke who met her, they learn that her mother died but she was never buried and Penelope was nowhere to be found.

Cut to Penelope, after her mother passed away slave traders captured her, this particular group of slave traders has a reputation in the black market for selling high-quality ‘merchandise’. They initially intended to sell her along with the other enslaved children but because of her exotic hair colour, they decided to keep her until she was older so she would be sold at a much higher price. 

This particular organization is known for selling high-quality slaves as they ‘train’ them to serve multiple purposes. Penelope was able to learn to read and write because of this. However, one day the slave traders found out she could use magic, and they quickly scrapped the idea of selling her and instead using her for their own purpose. 

They forced her to learn magic on her own, she has a room with a straw bed, a bookshelf and writing material. Since she didn’t have anyone to teach her properly she had to get creative to get any results.

Compared to the other slaves she does get better treatment but she is more likely to get punished whether it was because they expect more from her and think she’s not working faster enough or she just happens to be in the vicinity whenever they're in a bad mood so they take out their frustrations on her.

Throughout the years she has gotten better at magic and has made process on her escape plan. The only problem is the colla they put on her neck that will electrocute her should she disobey an order. It's the only thing keeping her from running away and she is on a time crunch as she is finally going to be sold at the upcoming auction. And she's the main attraction.

Back to everyone else, Vinter has been looking for Penelope since the time-loop reset and has come across a rumour of a slave auction coming up at a party. It said that these merchants possess high-quality 'merchandise' and their prized possession is said to be a girl with the blood of a wizard.

This obviously gets his attention and upon further investigation, he not only finds out that the majority of the Empress's fraction are are going to attend this auction but the fact that these merchants may have ties with Laila . So he enlists the help of the Crown Prince in order to raid this event.

Callisto obviously uses the opportunity to weaken the Empress's fraction so that he could focus on finding Penelope. After much preparation, they've successfully completed the raid and arrested everyone involved.

Everyone involved is happy that she's alive and all but they quickly realized that unlike then she doesn't have memories of the time loops.

Callisto lead the royal guards whilst Vinter took stock of the slaves. You could imagine the look on his face when he came across the person he's been looking for, Penelope. He almost didn't believe it because she looked so....different.

They graduated high school got into different colleges, graduated from said colleges and got jobs and try to move on with their lives. The key word being tried. While they didn't want to admit it, they still miss one another and all the good times they had even if it was for a short time.

Years later they've both gotten promoted in their jobs. Their companies just so happen to collab with each other on a big project. Penelope and Callisto who are very hard workers in their jobs are chosen by their respective companies to be a part of this project, they think it will be just like every other assignment they've done before.

So imagine their surprise when they see each other at the beginning of the program. Their minds are like "Oh shit, what is he/she doing here?" while keeping a poker face. They decide right then and there to avoid each other as subtly as possible to avoid drama but low and behold their place in the same group together.

Not a problem they'll just do what they do best, ignore the problem till it goes away or till they have no choice but to confront it. The two of them decided that avoiding each other outside of work is the best option and all seems to go well...…....for a while.

You see, Penelope and Callisto work very well together despite trying to avoid any other interaction with one another. But even then they tend to bicker and throw jabs at one another at every chance they get.

Their other group members have collectively agreed that they are made for one another. Cut to them trying their best to get Penelope and Callisto to spend as much time together as possible without it being too suspicious.

This leads to both parties feeling emotionally drained at the end of every day from all the mental gymnastics they're doing around each other. They catch on to what their colleges are doing but don't have the time to tell them to stop, plus they'd prefer not to go around explaining that the person the group is trying to set them up with is the high school ex.

But soon they settle into their temporary routines and sparks are beginning to fly between to two. They're more comfortable around each other now and are reminded of how things were between them when they started dating years ago.

Everything is going normal until months later when they hit an important milestone in their project. To celebrate, their bosses take their workers out for a few drinks. You can see where this is going.

Long story short, Penelope and Callisto both get drunk, head off to Callisto's apartment and had sex, they went at it the whole night and slept till noon and would have missed work if it wasn't a Saturday.

Suffice it to say they were horrified when they woke up. To make matters worse, Penelope can't leave cause there is a massive storm outside, the streets are flooding and people are advised to remain indoors. So they've stuck indoors...…with each other...….not a problem at all.

They are a little awkward around each other since this is their first time in years interacting with each other outside of work. Things were a little tense on day one but they settled into a temporary routine by day two and were comfortable sharing a space together. But they could only ignore the massive elephant in the room for so long.

One of them finally brought up the topic that they indeed slept together the night before. Their both not embarrassed by this considering they were each other's first in high school. But the conversation inevitably shifts to their nasty breakup literally a week before graduation, and that leads them to bring up some still painful memories about the families they've since cut off from their lives.

To them, there was just too much happening all at once so suddenly. Things got tense in their respective households, they had to prepare for graduation, prepare college and all that jazz. They didn't seem to have time to process their emotions back then which lead to them braking up on such bad terms.

But now they're older and have worked through their issues over the years. However, they genuinely never expected to see one another again after going to separate colleges.

So after a very long talk, they decided to give their relationship another chance. They took things slow at the beginning which escalated to going on trips together and moving in together. After two years Callisto proposed, they got married, bought a house and had kids.
