Well, since they'll likely arrive up to an hour after we do, the first thing I had planned was getting lunch. After that, I figured we'd just explore the city. Nelua does like to explore, after all. :) Oh, their friend Sokiu is going to be joining us as well. I believe you met them briefly at the party, it's going to be their first time too.

Yeah! Managed to make a bit of it before it got too late. I got to see Nelua again which came with some super cool news. They said the potions that were being worked on to let merfolk walk on land are done! And so are the potions for humans to go underwater! So thatâs a super cool thing to look forward to in the future. I think Leilaâs planning the land tour but Iâm gonna be there for sure! Canât wait to see what they think of what we do up here in more detail!!!

The merfolk told me yesterday that something very large and very strange is approaching the coast...
Couldn't make heads or tails of the description though.
âCouldnât make heads or tailsâ of it as in it was lost in translation, or was it just confusing? What did they say exactly? Was it anything they were worried about?
They seemed a bit confused by it themselves, really, though apparently it's passed through the area before. The best description I got was "big like a boat, but not a boat, probably yellow. No humans on it, and drifting by current and wind". Also something about it being different from last time. One claimed they saw it glowing after dark.
Hmm, the first part sounds ALMOST like the Quacken. Big, not a boat, drifting, and definitely yellow. I saw it briefly in the distance since I live right by the coast when it was here last time. Cubby knocked it back out to sea, it was pretty cool. Don't know anything about it glowing though, unless that's what's different from last time. Is it radioactive now? A giant radioactive rubber duck heading our way?
I didn't see anything so close this morning before heading out to work but I wonder if it's visible now... If the merfolk saw it yesterday I wonder how long that gives us before we could see it on land?
There is...a giant rubber duck? Called the Quacken? And here I thought I'd finally learned all the lore of this city. Well, that certainly sounds interesting. Perhaps I'll go down to the beach later and see it come in.

Well, it seems that trade with the merfolk is going well thus far. I've made the acquaintance of one Amber Aqua, who's been handling the actual affairs of commerce. They say if things keep up at this rate, the city may fund a trading vessel, and perhaps an entire offshore trading hub. Quite exciting. :)
That IS quite exciting!! I should stop by the docks sometime and see if I see anything new and merfolky going on
Amber says they've so far stuck to trading on the phases since it's an easy calendar to follow, so their next trading day ought to be the twenty-third. You can probably meet four or five of them. :)

Did you smell something that kinda smelled like Ennis in the same direction as the noise? Thatâd be pretty solid evidence. Thereâs not many nightmares walking around out there, or here for that matter!
I didn't really go close enough to smell. Didn't want to frighten anyone by just coming out of the woods as a wolf.
Makes sense, though youâd probably be more likely to get scared yourself wandering over there. Thatâs the same guy that had those really realistic fake bodies in the abandoned theater⌠if thatâs their âplaygroundâ who knows what else theyâve got lying around
