I remember getting in trouble for being “mean” to fellow students at my school. Mind you, I’m from Utah, and we are an easily offended group, back then. Extremely thin-skinned and fragile. The most fragile.

This is how I remember the convo going down. I have an excellent memory. I also tend to exaggerate. I’d say this is pretty much 9 out of 10 as far as sticking to the meat of the discussion.

Something about this pic made me think about the following excerpt from my mental book, Mayo Chronicles.

Teacher: You should apologize

Me: You saw what happened and I said what I said (he was there when the whole kerfuffle went down, didn’t say a word at the time)

Principal: Then we’re going to have to call your parents

Me: You don’t want to do that. My mom would love to talk to you, but you definitely don’t want to hear what she has to say. Also, she works until 11 at night and gets to work at 7 am

Principal: I wouldn’t mind talking to your mother. (Shit-eating grin on his dumb ass face)

Me: You aren’t my mom’s type

[I’m eyeing the clock cause I need to take the UTA bus home (out of district student), so I can eat before I take another bus downtown for violin lessons. So I’m hoping to wrap this up soon.]
