Writing challenge: (from my Grandpa/Lewis WIP)

For a moment, Lewis looks around the cozy farmhouse, with its hand-embroidered curtains and newfangled television (the one luxury the farmer has, by the looks of it), and allows himself to dream of having a place in the farmer's life. Daily routines between them, Lewis writing articles for the newspaper at the heavy oak table, maybe a career in politics once the mayor retires. The farmer wandering through the door after a long day of farmwork, smelling of animals and hay, carrying a fresh trout for dinner. His heart clenches around what he cannot have, and he slides out of his chair, determined to put as much distance between himself and this place as possible.
