It is kinda interesting, because it is from 1968, and some translations collected in it are even older, and you can see how much Hungarian language changed only in this short period of time 😁 (22 Detective stories)

just admit you got comfortable blaming snape for being bullied and now you feel weird because snape being black doesn't fit your idea of someone who deserves it.

the good that the marauders did in the order is not discounted by what they did to snape. the bad that snape did with the deatheaters is not redeemed for being bullied. good people make bad decisions. every coin has a flip side. yada yada. don't dumb it down.

Of course the saga has that effect, because we grew up alongside the characters. But it is not as if it were exclusively a children's product with limited appeal.

I don't see this kind of criticism being applied to any other saga that is as big a milestone in pop culture as Harry Potter, especially if it is something whose fans are mostly male.

Harry Potter is an incredible work, very well written, with a massive and fascinating world-building. We have thousands of new materials and contents to consume. Almost no other saga has such an enormous intellectual property.
